This thread is gonna get really big, really quick.

I just hope to god that we get a good pick out of this. Come on Hammond, don't mess it up.

If we got a high lotto this year for him sign me up. If we get crap vets I'm done.

I wonder how many of us would legitimately quick following the Bucks if they trade both Bogut and our 1st in a desperate attempt at the 8th seed. I didn't give up on the NBA after losing the Sonics and living through 13 years of being a Bucks fan but damn.

I...may stop watching the team entirely if he's traded in a win-now move. The logic behind that would border on insanity. There is no other way it could be justified with a straight face.

Sign me up though if we can get a top 7ish pick for him. I'd be upset if it was a pick outside of the top 10, though.

Sparky put it best. If we don't get a 1 coming back to us, we've failed this trade

More so I'm done this year. If we gave up our pick and Bogut without receiving any youth or picks at the deadline it absolutely crush me. I just want something positive to look forward to.

I agree that we are selling at the low point. He had many more high points in the past two years when we could have done this.

However, I don't think holding on to him until his stock recovers is an option. Whether it is in March or June, he's not going to be able to prove he can come back as a 15/12 type player who can stay healthy. We'd only see his stock recover come next December if he comes out of the gate healthy and blazing away. And what are the odds you'd put on that?

I want one of those sets of lotto picks, but if for some reason it is expiring trash, as long as it isn't too helpful, I'm all for it. Would be a total blow up going forward.

That is until we sign some garbage wing for 4 years, 45 million with next year's cap space.

I wouldn't be too sad to see Bogut go, I've been a fan of him since he was at Utah and him playing on the Bucks was only a fantasy but we've gone as far as we can go together and it's time to move on. He's almost 28, Bogut is too good of a player to waste his entire career on a terrible team. It for the best for both sides he to move on.

The only thing that scares me in the return. If we go "win now", I'm done.

Was there a rumor that Bogut for Twolves pick last year was on the table? I wonder if lottery teams are willing to trade for Bogut...is it better to see how the ping pong balls bounce or trade him at the deadline (assuming taking an expiring contract as well)?

I don't trust Woeful one bit - even at 70/30. Bogut is the last Buck I expect to get traded at this point. So, I'm calling BS on this. I'll believe it when I see it.

You mean like Al Jefferson plus the picks because Hammond likes to compete for the 8th while rebuilding....

Good riddence.

He's not taking this team anywhere, and in a sense, has been holding the organization hostage over the last several years as a walking injury-in-waiting.

They better get a mid to high 1st for him.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Woelfel - 70% bogut's gone by next week

Does anyone really think there is less than a 70/30 chance that he's dealt in a win now move?

The question I'd speculate on relates to Ersan. I'm just wondering if this team figures they can get 10 rebounds a game, garbage man offense and some decent interior defense from Ersan and thus replace some of what Bogut provided.

Thus this type of trade frees up cash to pay Ersan and brings in an asset at another area of need.
