Simmons has sucked since getting married, moving to LA and having kids. He's a shell of the Sports Guy. However, still a decent read every now and then when he's not talking about TV or celebrities or whatever.

I think most like JJ Redick and see his value, but hated moving Harris to get him and wouldn't do the deal. Nothing against JJ.

He started bothering me when he went from self-deprecating and charming to name-dropping and douchey. All of his stupid pop culture references to shows like The OC and The Hills got absolutely ridiculous. I gave up on him when he wrote a whole article about why Ryan Reynolds isn't a true movie star Why the **** do I care what your opinion of Ryan Reynolds is?

Also the fact that he's still trying to play the tortured sports fan role of a Boston guy circa the late 90s is getting tired really fast. Stop trying to compare everyone else's disappointments to the way Boston fans felt 15 years ago.

Maybe the only real eyebrow raiser is Drummond. I don't think I could come up with 45 guys I'd rather have than him.

How awful is it that he only got 21 minutes a game? He was 8/8/1.5 in those 21 minutes and only averaged 2.4 fouls, so it's not like he was on a Sanders like foul pace of last year.

Although none of us wanted to do a Harris for Redick trade, to be fair Hammond had this deal in place because he also thought we were getting Smith/Harris for Moute/Udoh/Dalembert. Harris would have been buried behind Ersan/Smith/Henson.

I'll bet if he knew the Atl trade was not going through he would have backed out of the Orl trade as well, but someone messed up in the front office and Bucks got burned/stuck with 1/2 a plan implemented.

That could be the case but nonetheless the entire plan was stupid. Why were we trading for guys who would expire in 30 games anyway. And why did we not ask Orlando to make the entire thing contingent on whether we could close the Smith trade. We should have waited for the last minute at least to do the Redick trade and then backed out. On top of that why did we not just trade our first which everyone would have agreed would have been less valuable in this **** draft. Maybe we get lucky in the draft and draft and good player but in league circles, everyone has been saying this draft is going to suck for over a year so in terms of value, the whole thing was incredibly short sighted.

The Tobias Harris debacle is made that much worse if its success was dependent on the Josh Smith deal going through.

That is not what happened. Orlando, Milwaukee, and Atlanta were involved in three-way trade talks and Atlanta pulled out at the last second. Everyone was aware that Atlanta pulled out of the trade before they went ahead and consummated the deal. Oh, and BTW, Hammond signs off on the trades. He knew that he wasn't getting Smith when he traded for Redick.

And, at the end of the day, so the **** what if Tobes was stuck on the bench? Smith was a pending FA. Tobes would've been able to jump in next year. And, above all, HOW THE **** DID HAMMOND NOT KNOW WHAT WE HAD IN TOBIAS?

God, this still enrages me.
