White point guard from SDSU doesn't have the same ring to it.

What type of game does this dude have?

True PG with a great shot. Played surprisingly good D on Trey Burke in the Tourney.

Honestly, his game reminds me a lot of Ridnour.

He reminds me of a taller Luke Ridnour.

Well, he's white, so he's scrappy, gritty and a gym rat.

It would have been cool to keep Ledo and acquire Wolters.

Not great, but is a smart enough player to make up for it.

I think he potentially is a much better passer creator then Luke, Nate's got a lil white chocolate in him.

I would've loved to see them get an earlier pick, draft Franklin and then take Wolters.

Has more a Beno Udrih haircut...

Sadly in three years, he will be our best or second best player if our trend continues.

Watching some highlights of his. Dude certainly seems to have better ball handling skills than BJ. And he can make layups! :o

Nate Wolters, PG, South Dakota State -- Wolters is a tremendously creative ball-screen point guard. While there have been questions about his jumper in the past, those questions are no more pertinent than they are for, say Michael Carter Williams, and Wolters has improved mightily since shooting poorly from three-point range as a junior. Wolters knows how to contain defensively, and gets to where he wants to be on offense. Combine that with great feel on the drive-and-kick, and the only question is can he adjust to the length and speed of NBA defenses. I say yes. Guy is a stud, he shoots 81 percent from the line and can run a team tomorrow.

Gotta love that he is a little over 6'4, the anti Larkin in that regard. We got a big front court, we can't have a midget PG.

Xtitan had to start this thread. There could be no other.

Wolters is better than Jimmer, I'll say that. Who cares about his defense, when we've got 30ft of arms behind him. I like this pick, too. Good value.

It's worth noting that even though he did play at South Dakota State, averaging 20-5-5 is pretty tough in college game, and he did it twice. One of those years he was the only person in Division 1 to do it.
