This looks like the new owners trying to bring more buzz and attention to the franchise because I dont like Hammond or Drew but Jason Kidd is definitely not the answer. And Kidd continues to try and throw his weight around with the Nets organization. That could get ugly. This also makes me wonder again if Embiid had been healthy and the Cavs take him would the new owners have pushed for Wiggins more than Parker.

New owner same terrible ideas.

Jason Kidd was one of my favorite players but he is not someone I want in charge of Milwaukee Basketball.

Anything more? No thanks

Kidd as coach and George Karl as president of basketball operations.

Taking the view of the optimist and only gleaning hope from the fact that this means Drew/Hammond are likely on their way out.

The new owners need to stick to the blueprint of the Spurs and Thunder. Hire someone from those organizations. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Interestingly, for some reason I felt perfectly fine freaking out about Johnny O'Bryant but I'm rather subdued about potentially hiring Jason Kidd. :o

You just can't grab coaches from winning organizations and expect that success to follow.

No, but taking coaches from teams with innovative systems > coaches from teams with systems stuck in the past

I'll roll with the devil I know in Hammond and wait for a proven exec with a strong analytical lean. I hate the idea of Kidd coming in and running the show just because Lasry's friends with him. That's different from no-basketball-background guys like Ron Walter having input, but it's not different enough for me.

I dont know what the are interviewing him for but they should be hiring a head of basketball operations before they hire a coach. Doing it the other way around rarely works out.

You're right. Coaches from losing organizations are much better.

He turned it around big time after a god awful start. They beat a pretty good Toronto team in the playoffs. It's not like he exactly had a great team to work with. We just remember the dumb stuff we saw on ESPN. I'd be curious to see what he can do with a young up and coming team rather than a team full of corpses.

I'll see myself out now. I'll let you guys get back to your constant whining.

What? Spurs system is nothing innovative. Thunder just play hero ball.

This feels like a Lasry moment with Kidd, whereby Edens will take the car keys back from him shortly and talk some sense into him.
