Regarding Hammond, let's all agree that he was trying to do a magic trick. Create that no superstar Pistons magic without really being allowed to rebuild while in Lebron's conference. Also, I think Bogut's trajectory changed after his elbow injury. Constantly drafting 10-20 is a crapshoot. Jrue Holiday and Jeff Teague were drafted like 8 picks after Brandon double nickel Jennings. Tank once in the right draft and you get Blake or Durant.

These were the years of signing long middle tier contract overpays for flawed players when 1 year guys who were better were going to play with Kobe to chase a ring. This is our history lesson for why you don't go get Wood, keep Brogdon or keep T Harris on 3/4 year deals.

Brook Lopez is an exception since he's hand carved for Bud's system and is our best Center in 40 years.

Hammond got us Midds and Giannis to save this franchise but did nothing else in a better part of the decade. Surprised he lasted as long as he has in the league.

On a personal level, he's one of the nicest people you would meet. Very approachable and seemed to genuinely want to interact with fans. Wish him well.

lol, just wanted to point that out as I have met him a few times and he was always overly nice and from what i heard he is like that with others. Seemed really genuine. These guys are paid big salaries and should be held by high-standards of what they put on the court, but feel this board gets too personal with their attacks on people.

I'm a tank main and Rein is the only one I absolutely do not play unless for some reason I have to. Just does not fit my playstyle as well. I was a really good monkey but he hasn't been good for like 3 years.
