Bucks take a different approach to infuse the roster with young talent.

Nuggets pave the way for Bones to be backup PG, gain a needed 3&D wing, take on Hill to move up 6 spots.

Knicks use Reddish, Deuce and a 2nd to grab a rock solid PG in Morris.

30 - Dalen Terry
42 - David Roddy

Holiday / McBride / Vildoza
Allen / Terry / Matthews
Middleton / Connaughton / Tucker
Giannis / Portis / Roddy / Thanasis
Lopez / Hartenstein (tMLE)

Was this just for me?

Trade for Brogdon. Would Indy not LOVE a guy like Grayson? Just seems like there is something about him that's a fit there.

Brogdon
Jrue
Khris
Giannis
Brook

1. This forever solves the revolving door of guys that should never have been starting at the 2 for us.
2. This reduces Jrue's offensive load and allows him to spend most of his energy on defense while picking his spots on offense. Can you imagine?
3. We would have a true floor general that can do pretty much everything.

*wipes hands*

that was easy

Brogdon then misses 50 games and most of the playoffs.

This trade fills needs while infusing the roster with younger talent. I’m still looking for a way to flipLopez for a big who teams cannot target defensively. Maybe we could find a way to add JaMychal Green or Richaun Holmes.

I mean besides his injuries what isn't there to like about Brogdon?

Finding another one of him is easier said than done

The injuries are the most defining part of his career. Did you know he's only played more than 60 games in a season twice in his six years? 70 only once.

You keep speaking Deuce into existence, it's motivating.

He was my guy last year. I do wonder how much the Knicks value him.

He hasn’t suffered a devastating injury so I don’t think its crazy to believe his load can be managed, there can be just as much value in a showhorse as a workhorse. Brogdon excelled in his role here and played a lot fewer minutes, he’s another guy with an old man game that should age well + is locked up on fair market deal. Manu Ginobili was always banged up and I couldn’t imagine the Spurs dynasty without him, perfect world that’s how I envision Brogdon.

The other way of looking at Brogdon is he could be acquired on the (relative) cheap due to his health issues.

Problem is we’d likely have to deal BroLo if only as a salary slot to get him, which just creates another hole.

Teams that aren’t in the luxury tax and / or have better matching salaries might be more motivated than we’d be to make a deal happen too.

Indy made him their 1b to Sabonis, which is not who he is given his injury issues. I think he could be a savvy target, the only reason his value is so low is because of injuries. He knows/likes/is well-liked by our guys and coach. He wouldn't be asked to play heavy minutes or shoulder the scoring load, as he'd be 4th option at best. He's a smart passer, long and willing defender, has a knack for scoring when things get stagnant. God forbid, he gets injured, we still have Giannis/Jrue/Midds to keep us on course.

I would welcome him back, I think his statements about and feelings toward the city were overblown and misunderstood (I agree with what he said, and I love MKE).

I'm sayin...

The thing is, whether we have Allen or not isn't going to matter deep into the playoffs. Unless you think he can grow from whatever that just was. Brogdon has a real chance to be a needle mover for us. He could even just relax most of the regular season.

What even is Brogdons value at? Expirings, 2nds? Would we need to include 24?

Brook/Hill/pick(s) works, gives them expiring deals, and maybe Hill can be a solid mentor to Hali in a city that loves him

I mean if it's Brook and Hill, sure.

I wouldn't go any higher than that, and some dumb team (read, the Knicks) will.

I'm not sure why we're bringing back Brogdon to play a role (3rd-4th option on offense) that he clearly didn't want with us when we head him 3 years ago, and which he left in favor of being the lead perimeter guy over in Indiana. An already soon-to-be 30 year old with an extensive injury, who's also not happy with his role? Pretty unnecessary risk to take IMO.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
