I just want to be available for my team because I had an offseason where I wasn't really playing basketball, I wasn't able to participate with the (Greek) national team or practice, so basically this is my practice.

We're sweating the losses and wins
Apoplectic at Griff's mortal sins
And then we hear Giannis
Say no, the joke's on us
To him it's like just shirts and skins

Giannis being like Mike
with the excuse of breaking summer's rest

the iron man's scope
bares nothing of Griffin's work
it is his own

Giannis 33 points behind Kidd on the All-time Scoring List. Would love to have a reporter ask Kidd if he ever thought that was a possibility.

I'm not on board with any "Crowder will save us" declarations. Don't get why he's held in high esteem. Closer to 34 than 33, not quick laterally, yes strong but short without length or leaps, streaky shooter and has barely played last two seasons now. He's not a "dog" like PJ, he's more of a pseudo dog.

Agreed. While I'm happy he's back, he only minimally moves the needle for me. I'm hoping he takes at least some of Pat's minutes, but I sure am not expecting a significant impact.

Khris is 43 behind no. 3 on the Bucks scoring list (Glenn Robinson).

Generally agree on Jae too. However, he does fill a niche need as the small ball 4 type they don't really have at the moment as Bobby is too slow to quite fill it ideally. Jae almost has to be better than what Pat as been in that role. So some lineups of the main 3, Jae, Beaz should be able to blow the doors off teams offensively. And in theory be better on D than the current iteration of Bobby instead of Jae, and Jae holds his own on rebounding too. Still, the guy hasn't played in 2 years so who knows.

Is Jae going to be a small ball 4 on defense? Can totally see us complaining when guys are blowing by him 40 feet from the basket.

I don't think anyone's pushing the idea that Crowder will "save" the team? Just that if he's at the level he was before the injury (or can get there by playoff time), he's an upgrade over Pat who has legit been one of the worst players in the league getting PT this year.

What else is he gonna be? He's a normal 3 or a small ball 4. Gonna get blown by 3s more than 4s isn't he? But that small ball 4 role seems to be the most open or not filled slot as of now since it would be filled by KM/Pat as of now and Jae is bigger and more physical, better rebounder than them. Or of course the other option is to not play it and just have Giannis/Bobby as 4/5 whichever way you want to call them.

And in this system if they're sticking with it Jae is more switchable and better on the perimeter than Bobby/Brook

I at least have more faith in Crowder being able to do the dumb "hedge at the 3PT line then retreat to the paint" thing without giving up a wide open dunk. As opposed to Bobby being an absolute turnstile.

Prediction: Bucks win by double digits. Dame is back after getting his kids and he’s going to go on a roll here.

More Khris, no Pat should be the key to victory tonight. Escaping Sacto with no Khris and a bunch of Pat is a god send. Really need 1 of Dre Jack or Marjon to finally step up and start hammering into Pats minutes. If we’re stuck with him because he’s such a “valuable” glue guy, we need to really figure out how to limit his minutes without sacrificing on court production. That’s where I’m hoping Crowder comes into play. We’ll see.. Go Bucks!

I'm not convinced other fan bases have the in-depth discussions we do, so I see it as a positive.

No Giannis tonight.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Usually I'd assume we're going to get done without Giannis but there's no D for him to hold together anyway and Dame could go nuclear.

Right shoulder contusion. Maybe happened in practice?
