Whatever you think of Rivers there can be no doubt he's way better than AG. Even with his flaws (and every coach has them) we have an actual coach now.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

(Rivers) emphasized like, go more to Dame," Antetokounmpo said Monday night. "When I have the ball, kick the ball ahead to Dame. Set more screens, roll out of the post, dribble handoffs -- he wants that more and we have to do it more. Because at the end of the day, when Dame has the ball in his hands and I'm being a threat as a roller, we can cause some damage."

Per Second Spectrum, the Bucks are averaging 1.18 points per direct pick when Antetokounmpo sets an on-ball screen for Lillard. That's the third-best efficiency among duos in the NBA. It's the volume of those plays that had become a question under Griffin. They are running about 9.9 on-ball screens per game, which ranks outside the top 25 among duos this season.

"It's been effective," Rivers said Monday night, "but it should be dominant, in my opinion."

It was refreshing hearing Doc tell it straight in the post game conference. No deflecting or giving canned answers.

Only time employees are honest is when they are leaving or coming in. Its easy to say what the issues are when you aren't responsible for them.

That's why I'm always surprised my previous employers havent done more thorough exit interview during the 2-week period.

While you have a point, he seems willing to remain forthright about holding his teams accountable at all times.

His talk mirrored what KG & Paul Pierce said he'll bring to the Bucks on their All the Smoke show.

Love everything about these quotes. Khris is excellent using dribble handoffs. Worth noting that Giannis is also dominant (1.17) as the primary ball-handler using ball screens. Use the 2&3 man actions to create an advantage starting every possession, then move the ball. Hope is a dangerous thing.

I am starting to question if the plan all along was to hire Doc, but they knew we would not like it so they hired AG to show us how bad it could be and now we all just accept Rivers wholeheartedly.

I think the plan all along was to have Stotts ready to step in if necessary. But when he bailed we had to go another way.

Stotts lives in Florida now. Why would he fly to Portland for a game?

Yup, I sure wish he would have stuck it out, I prefer Stotts over Doc. Both are vastly better than Griff though so we are better off.

I don't blame Stotts at all for not wanting to stick it out though. If you were a millionaire, and a much more accomplished as both an assistant coach and head coach than Adrian Griffin, would you want to stick it out after Griffin dressed you down in front of the players like that? I wouldn't have.

GAD and Epi posting in the same thread about Stotts. Bringing that 2007 RealGM vibe. Love it!

I think I’d rather have what we have now than Stotts, but I am probably higher on Joerger than most.

After watching that movie recently, I knew Joerger reminded me of someone... that's it.
