hes better then malik beasley at every aspect of the game but shooting.

Its undeniable that hes significantly better than Beasley defensively.

Now, lets look at his unassisted buckets this season.

Slam dunk signing.

We upgraded the minute rich positions of Beasley, Beverley, and Crowder all on minimum deals.

Dame/Trent Jr/Middleton/Giannis/Brook with Wright/Green/Prince/Bobby/Pat? off of the bench looks notably better. I still think that Bobby and Pat are players we should be looking to move on from, but that is a solid 9-10.

if horst could draft, we wouldn't have to sign bottom of the barrel free agents on min contracts </g>

Good thing Horst wasn't fired yesterday for fielding a poor summer league team.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Any confirmation that it’s the minimum? What a nice signing.

I don't think these are clear upgrades. I thought Bev played pretty well for us, and we know he can be in a playoff rotation. As bad as Crowder was for us, I'm not convinced Prince is any better, just different. Trent should be better all around than Beasley, but Beasley shot the ball really well for most of the season.

Moving the needle will require moving some combination of Bobby/Brook/Pat/Middleton but obviously that entails a large risk of moving the needle in the wrong direction.

Just wondering whether there’s a Trent Tango/Trent Two-Step to look forward to

That is not a high bar to clear in general but for a 25 year old on a vet min I suppose it is something. I don't have anything at all against GTJ, i'm extremely happy we have him. Hopefully our environment and being pissed off that he ended up taking the minimum can motivate him to elevate his game for us.

I still think Horst has had a bad run of net negative roster moves going back to trading for Holiday. I'll give him credit today. As many have said, these minimum signings are all upgrades. Younger, more athletic, better shooting. Bev was solid despite the obligatory antics but Crowder and Beas were doodoo. This cast makes much more sense around our core. Need a young guy to hit
