Re: Bucks/NBA Prediction Thread - Locks 10/22
I think the regular season will be underwhelming as they coast/load manage to 49 wins and the 5th seed, but they turn it up in the playoffs. If healthy I wouldn't bet against them in any series.
I think they beat the Cavs, Boston, and then the Knicks to reach the finals before taking down OKC in a tough game 7 battle.

Love the optimism in this thread. Can’t subscribe to it though.
49-33 and the fourth seed. Lose to Philly in round two.
Middleton’s health and Doc’s coaching ability are the two factors that could improve on that, but I’m not bullish on either at the moment.

Re: Bucks/NBA Prediction Thread - Locks 10/22
Calls for Doc to be fired or moved to the FO. Pleas from the die-hards to find a backup PG and a PF/C who can move his feet. Ultimately, 47 wins finished with a second-round loss. At least two people will be banned from this forum.
But the good news is we don't have any draft picks next offseason so we can't screw that up.
Edited typos.

Trade predictions:
Schroder is our backup PG by the deadline-Bobby/Livingston package
Grant Williams talks are revisited-Pat/Marjon/2nd
If either don’t happen, I think we make a strong play for Finney Smith

51 wins, 4th seed. 2nd Rd exit. Giannis is the same 1st team guy he's been.

It's a real mixed bag on here. 51 wins (for my over bet), ECF loss.

What's the point of being a fan if you can't be a little bullish?
Let's say the team beats the odds, finds an identity and a bench guy or two they're missing and puts it together. The LOB trophy comes back to Milwaukee.

Re: Bucks/NBA Prediction Thread - Locks 10/22
We have good health most of the year, Giannis and Dame combine for 60 a game, AJ settles into the backup PG spot, shows superstar flashes. Role players are good enough, D is more organised.
60ish wins, title.

I hope whatever happens we have a full strength roster come Playoffs. It’s not so much the losing that **** me the past 3 years, but the fact we don’t if we’re actually any good because of injuries to either Midds, Dame or Giannis (or all).
It’d be cool to see what we’re capable of vs a full strength Celts in the Playoffs.

Re: Bucks/NBA Prediction Thread - Locks 10/22
50 ish wins. AJJ makes us excited like no rookie has for a long time. Dairy Bird finds a spot in the rotation and is dangerous every game from deep. Giannis is actually healthy for the playoffs and reminds everyone how destructive he can be. Game slows down and Mids and Dame have space to feast. We bash teams and overcome a frustrating injury to get to the finals. Give Dallas a bit of a smacking.
Alternatively we can only play drop, get slapped by teams that move ball around the perimeter and get hot from three and I yell at Doc all season.
Luka MVP
Lebron continues being good
Far too much is written about Bronny
Paul and Wemby look good until Paul inevitably gets hurt
OKC fall short of expectations and writers ridiculously claim that they are chokers
NY is fantastic in the regular season until Thibs breaks someone
Between PG getting injured and Embiid resting Philly finishes around the same as us. I don't trust those bodies of those guys
ROY is someone random

56-26.
Bucks finish top three in offensive efficiency
There is a month this season where Giannis really seems like he gets it.
Early passes, ball movement, setting real screens, no 3s with 20 seconds on the shot clock.
If it lasts they win the title. If it doesn't out on the second round.

Re: Bucks/NBA Prediction Thread - Locks 10/22
There's gonna be a lot of thinkpieces on what's wrong with the Celtics, I'll tell you that.
The East isn't as robust as predicted, though Paul George Ringo John and Embiid nurse owies for much of the year which is quite predictable. The words of Dino resound from October to April as many nod sagely and whisper "this is what happens when you give Thibs decision making power." Bucks take advantage of the conference's down year and take out a year too-early Western foe (OKC seems likely, no?). OT: P*n** returns briefly.
Does seem like this is the pre-ordained year for Luka to get MVP.
Pistons get at least 30 wins.
Cavs implode.
Draymond gets traded to Phoenix.
Shaq farts on air. I mean really farts.
Stevie Wonder appears on the TNT show and says he likes what he's seen from the Pelicans. The conspiracy metastasizes.
Pop retires after a first-round playoff exit and tells Allie Lafours in the immediate aftermath "I'm getting too old for this sht."
An AJ makes a difference.
Dame takes an endorsement deal with a virtual currency company and cuts a mixtape under the name Dame Crypto; Chonestown says something profoundly regrettable on the OT: Investment thread.
RealGM gets bought out by Prize Picks. Every thread mandated to begin with the words "More or Less?"
Hoan Bridge renamed Junior Bridge, Man.

I think that's an excellent prediction (remember positionless all NBA). I can easily see a world where he's a top 10 player this season. If I squint I can see him on the first team. I assume he also picked him for DPOY. That almost seems like a lock barring injury.
Anywho:
Bucks: 51-31
Bucks over Wolves in the finals.
ETA: Philly will disappoint. 45ish wins and a first round exit.
Reed Sheppard wins ROY in a walk.
"This is my home, this is my city...I'm blessed to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years. Let's make these years count. The show goes on, let's get it."

The Grant Williams call is a good one. Every time Horst has gotten fixated on a player, he's eventually ended up here. GWs been surfacing in our rumors for years now.

55 wins and 2nd seed behind Boston. Whether or not we beat the Celtics in the ECF will depend on health and our ability to find another defensive, mobile big man before the playoffs start.
