No matter what anyone feels, empirical results are showing clearly that we have deteriorated massively after Bud was fired. Horst made a blunder.

Getting Dame for Jrue and picks is another of Horst’s mistake—— again empirical results confirm this.

I still think Khris returning could return us somewhat to our glory days. But we need a 3rd big 3 player who synchs better with the Bucks offense.

And he's run out of picks to throw away to help solve his previous problems.

Horst isn't without major blame, but it's funny how these were moves made for Giannis and now he'll probably just ask out after getting everything he asked for.

Bucks made the big mistake teams make after winning a championship: paying the role players who played above their market value. Suffering for it by not being able to do anything with the roster because of the **** new CBA.

Lopez, Portis, Connaughton all have long played their best minutes for the Bucks, but taking up nearly 25% of the cap between them.

It scares me that Horst might trade our '31 for crap to try to salvage his job.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

mattg wrote:Said this right at the end of the game thread and once before too, but given the recent Middleton quotes about "feeling good, but not good enough to play" it's very apt.

Relying on players who are constantly sitting out is not the answer for any team in the NBA. Eventually organizations will realize that even if it's an MVP caliber player, you cannot build a team around someone who isn't available to play the vast majority of regular season games. Teams never develop chemistry, and they moreso they never develop a serious attitude because in their heads they all are thinking "we aren't even whole yet, wait til so and so comes back". That means that those teams will routinely give up at the first sign of adversity. And by the time their star guy comes back "healthy" a bunch of other players are banged up too so they never get to play with the whole team and then the guy is out again.

Clippers, 76ers, any team Durant has been on post GS, us with Middleton, etc. It does not matter, if your guy can't play the vast majority of regular season games you cannot build around them and you're better off trading them. The old adage about you don't trade a dollar for 4 quarters does not apply with guys who are always injured. They are being overvalued consistently and teams haven't yet figured this out. It's only exacerbated when the players are on huge contracts/not the rookie deal as they handicap the team from making moves around them too.
Thanks for reposting because I was about to say that this was spot on.

Horst should've been held accountable for his blunders awhile ago, he's been operating on borrowed time for a long time.
