Kidd realized the potential of Giannis and gave him minutes from early on in his tenure.

I was more in this mindset before all the other young guards were positive contributors. Now I feel like we should wait until his G League shooting % cracks 20.

That's the other thing. Giannis produced when he played under Drew in year 1, thats why he got minutes. He wasn't shooting poorly, jacking up as many shots as he could.

AJ Johnson isn't close to being an NBA player right now. Him providing anything this season is a dream that needs to die. For some reason though I thought Rollins was like 25 or something, but he apparently doesn't turn 23 until July, so maybe there actually is a decent amount of potential there. His per-36 stocks numbers are actually bonkers (3.1 steals, 1.4 blocks), so dare I say he's got some Derrick White tendencies?

Too early to get excited about anything but credit to Doc for adjusting with the young guys, hopefully the encouraging play continues.

You wouldn’t use AJ Johnson for his scoring but to use for his quickness and length to guard quick guards that blow by slow players like Pat. And I do like Rollins I hope he’s ok and can play tonite.

Probably right in that AJ's not close to being NBA ready, but his speed is a weapon that could be utilized this year in small bursts. I don't think anyone is thinking he'll be plugged into the rotation, but taking on some minutes when guys are playing lazy or slow (Pat), could help boost the energy on the court and Johnson has shown he can use his quickness to stay in front of guys on defense, which is more than I could say for a lot of the vets right now.

I'd use AJ Johnson only when the games get out of hand. Definitely not, if you want to win a game.

I'll hopefully see up close this weekend with the Herd, but he has been awful whenever I've seen him. For all his vaunted quickness and athleticism, he can't get by guards because his handle isn't that good. He's great pounding the ball standing still.

Add in that he can't shoot and doesn't understand the game (low bball iq) and you have someone not near to be on an NBA court. Horst must have fell in love with his speed.

Meanwhile Ryan Dunn got the start last night and was 2-2 from 3.

The Bucks won 15 games Giannis' rookie year. Of course he was going to get some run.

Pretty sure it would be a disaster playing AJ Johnson in non-garbage time minutes.

I remember the ESPN sideline reporter on opening night against Philly saying something like "the Bucks are excited to get Khris back within the week".

What the **** is going on?

I'm resigned to a loss here with no Dame and will be pleasantly surprised if we manage to win. Just please get up 50+ threes.

This is what's frustrating to me more than anything. On top of that you had Khris saying a successful season to him was playing like 60-70 games. Like...does the team even know what's going on? A couple weeks ago it was "if it were the playoffs he could play." We're 3-8 without Dame. I know we're only like 1/7th through the season, but we could definitely use him.
