I am starting to believe that Khris Middleton is a figment of my imagination.

Khris feels great, he was ready for training camp, preseason and he's ready for the regular season to start and that's all the questions he wants to answer about that. That's what he said at media day so it must be true.

He gets paid $35M a year to do media day now.

Where the fibula meets with the talus
Is a joint (and I'm not talking phallus)
It's the Middleton ankle
That makes us all rankle
And leaves us Bucks fans quite morale-less
Given the broken timetable promises, it's obvious there have been setbacks. Nothing to do but wait to hear that he finally got in a five-on-five and then wait some more.
I give him a pass here. Two surgeries and a long history of (mostly) availability at critical times, despite the absences now piling up late in his career, mean he deserves discretion. There would have been no ring without him, and the Bucks won't sniff a ring unless he returns as a reasonable facsimile of All-Star Khris.
Hoping he will.

Everybody Hates Khris.

They also need answers from a podium.

What comes after he gets in front of a mic...

Not me. Im not concerned about who isn't playing. I care that whoever is wearing a jersey tonight is close enough to contest 3 point shots. Tired of us being a lost defense.

We’re 10th in defensive rebounding percentage which feels like an impossibility. We are dead last in oreb% which matches the eye test, though.
Our defensive rating is 16th which also seems high, but we have had some really nice defensive series as of late, particularly in that Houston game.
Our offensive rating is 21st which, given our talent, is absolutely absurd.

I think we can climb into the top 12 on offense pretty quickly if we do less hero ball.... share the ball, seek better shots instead of forcing and settling, run more plays and look for that last pass, then obviously we need to keep hitting a higher amount of open 3s. If guys get to their career average we're good.

Rollins must have had adrenaline pumping through his body when he thought he could play the next day lol. Hopefully Doc doesn't forget about him.

So it went from "instability" to dislocation. He'll be out awhile
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I can't believe folks aren't pressing Doc about this more. What the hell is going on with Khris? After implying that he was going to play in the preseason, we're almost a month into the regular season and he hasn't played a minute. What's going on? What's the timeline?

I was listening to 620 pregame last week and Nehm kinda did press him. Doc responded with "doc is just a nickname, I come in and the trainers give me an update, and that's it"
Was very strange. Doc sounded frustrated

Yeah, the frustrating part to me is the obfuscation. Wasn't Khris talking pre-season about how a successful season to him is playing somewhere between 60-70 games? After today we'll have 67 games left, but we've also been told there haven't been any setbacks. So what exactly is going on here? Is it a case where no one knows the reason for this but Khris?

So ugh why did they lie about this? Do they really need to soften the blow of a Ryan Rollins injury?

I’m upset about the Khris stuff too but I’m especially frustrated with Doc. Like it’s really unfair and frankly kind of a dick move to your player to throw out bull **** about him being “day to day” or give out these stupidly unrealistic timelines just because you think it’s what fans want to hear, even though you have no clue whatsoever what the actual timeline/situation looks like. All you’re doing is putting that player in a position to get absolutely roasted by everyone because now they all think he should’ve been ready ages ago but is willingly sitting out for some reason.

Well, I think the team was reporting he was expected to be back at the start of the season, so it's just not Doc.
And it's typically a couple months to return from ankle arthroscopy. It's been 4. Khris recovers notoriously slow &/or just babies the injuries in the regular season. He'd absolutely be back if it was the postseason. I half-jested at the time we'll see him then.

I can't imagine Doc on his own just gave random updates preseason without it being an educated answer. Something must have happened.

I thought the report was he underwent ankle surgery "shortly after the season". I feel like it's been 6-7 months.
"Shortly after the playoffs, Middleton underwent surgery on his left ankle to address an issue that plagued him throughout this past season. "
