If we were playing a good team I'd be fine with this but I'm not buying that as a throw away excuse to drop a home game against this version of the Nets. They're terrible

That second half was super ugly and still that game was very frustrating. A couple of trash players getting hot while the team is in coast mode is a bad recipe

yeah I guess we are a Giannis injury away from the play in but if Jimmy gets traded our floor is six. They could easily coast to the five seed, which is annoying as hell and what I think they will be doing. I somewhat get it, but this team has the 'regular season doesn't matter' vibe for four years now and sucks as a fan.

It's time for the front office on down to get serious about this season.

Enough of having 1-2 core players any given game. It's the Dame game, Giannis game, Khris game, Dame-Giannis game. It's like these are all different entities & not 1 cohesive team. We are so centered around those guys too, that losing 1-2 makes us really tenuous against anyone. And these last 3 we took for granted we could win anyway. Almost took all 3. But had one where they weren't focused and it cost them. Can't even coast against the Nets. Too old & not skilled enough in that group.

The front office has to stop sitting on their hands and wasting roster spots. We have 3 developmental slots at the bottom, & 3 guys who are useless or they're treated as such. That's down to 9. In addition to being centered around the core, very quickly we can not have enough playable guys. And not making the Bobby trade keeps us slow in the frontcourt and overall. It showed tonight.

As for Doc, he's asleep at the wheel w/ his rotations. We were getting beaten to so many loose balls & couldn't get separation. So why was Jackson benched? And what warranted those long stretches for Delon when he was trash?

You look up and we're just 16-13. We should have a lot better record. And eventually the schedule will get tough. Then we'd wish we hadn't mailed it in early.

Especially when they are 1-3 in playoff series since the title. I know injuries are a huge part of why that is the playoff series record but it still sucks.

It's really not just the 4th quarter. It was the entire game. They just had the advantage still at half because the Nets were so inept. The amount of space they were giving us in the halfcourt was wild.

But you still had players like Khris just flippantly holding the ball in front of the opponent and making passes to covered players. The Bucks weren't closing on shooters. Gang rebounding on d. & were committing unnecessary off ball fouls to swing momentum.

Set a bad tone and the Nets finally overcame it by picking up full court and some crazy shotmaking/luck. Bucks could never awake from their slumber. I guess got too overconfident from beating mighty Washington & Chicago. They aren't good enough to coast.

All excellent points. A few days ago, I mentioned KM's turnover problems and was told he has no turnover problem. He has a turnover problem.

BP, Rollins and Trent with bad floor games.

Bucks could use a ballhandler. Rollins has trouble bringing the ball up court when defended and teams know it. Wright also has a problem.

In games where the big 3 play, I would bench Wright and Prince. The Bucks need to find out which of Green, Rollins and AJJ can they trust in the playoffs. You probably only need two of the three.
Playoffs:

8 man rotation:

KM 40minutes
Giannis 40 minutes
Dame 40 minutes
Brook 20minutes
BP 18 minutes
Who else can fill the remaining minutes? Who is the shooting guard? I think Green.

Then there’s the game that shows our flaws on the bench. Still need to make upgrades on the margins, this isn’t a championship team yet.

Rollins and Wright are not playoff rotation players. Need to find an actual backup PG that can play consistently.

Hopefully Giannis and Dame are playing on Saturday.

Rollins is more than fine as a back pg we lost the lead when he was on bench and wright was a train wreck what game were u watching

Not sure why anyone here is writing this game off because we're without our stars playing. We're playing the freakin g-league Brooklyn Nets ffs and couldn't close out a very winnable game.

"we lost the lead". He was -12 on the game. So that's revisionism.

You got to settle down w/ the fanboyism. You were overboard on Doc being braindead for not playing a guy more who was recovering from a dislocated shoulder and has a huge wrap on his arm. You're not level-headed when it comes to this guy.

I think he's got a future here, & might be a necessary evil even in the interim like Ajax because he improves mobility + handling. HOWEVER, he is diminished, & not proven for the playoffs so we could use better insurance than Delon freaking Wright. As for tonight, Ryan was part of the problem. He committed that backbreaking turnover at the end of the 1st half, giving them momentum going into the 2nd. He had 4 TO's against 3 assists & was 1-5 from 3. How is that helping the team?

He’s 22 yrs old making his first starts in nba I am not saying he’s starting we have Dame for that the other guy had zero points and was out there when they went on their run to take the lead. These young players are only going to get better with playing time so they are ready for the playoffs. Good luck on getting someone better for that insurance than Rollins because wright should never play. And that was a bull call on Rollins for that turnover at the end of half. Some of you guys over react so much on these young guys of course they are going have their up and downs most young players do. We have done so good with these old vets we bring in let’s get another one **** that!

Actually that sounds right but he can’t probably play this season due to acl.

Also till we get a better backup pg from the market, we should let Aj Johnson at ph get a few minutes at least against non leading teams. He can’t be worse than Delon and probably not worse than Rollins.

Some absolutely brutal crunch-time minutes from AJ and Bobby tonight. Team needs Giannis and Dame in those spots.

Look in the mirror. You're admitting you're the one overreacting to any positive play because of his age. That shouldn't gain a player a handicap. We're a contending team, not a rebuilding one. They need to be better than their alternative now. And they often are, because we need to have a footspeed balance. But there are games where it doesn't work, & this was one, which you aren't acknowledging. So we could adjust accordingly.

Pat is an example of a guy who seldom turns the ball over against pressure. His career high is 0.8 per game. This season his individual game high is 2. He hasn't had a negative assist to TO rate since 16 games ago. Rollins was a negative & had 4 today. So this is a game for some of the time we could have used Pat in addition to or at the expense of Rollins. All Khris, Wright, & Rollins had problems v. pressure.

Someone hasn't watched him. Yes, he can be worse, & is, right now. Even against g-league teams he's brutal in the areas Delon is really bad at the NBA level in - bringing it up against pressure & finishing. Worse on D. He was drafted as a developmental project & has further to go than I even figured.

Reality is, even though I was intrigued by the pick, it was weird given we're a contender. It burns a roster spot for now. We can't even use him in an emergency. And we probably have to pursue another ball-handler in the trade market or call-up Dennis Smith Jr. instead. Now if you had said that, maybe you'd have been on to something.
