this was a good win, no matter how bad the heat are. mo stepped up, bell regained a little bit of confidence. redd sat in a crucial part of the game, bogut smiled. there actually looked liked a little bit of camaraderie out there.

Can I ask why the stats say that Bogut only got one block? I can remember 2 of them he got, on Blount and Quinn.

I am pretty sure he got 1 or 2 more as well.

Well notice how Redd never put up a shot in the first quarter. Seems to be maybe a few home truths were told to Mr Michael Redd i.e that he is a selfish, stat whore who looks for his own game over others.

You see what happens when the Bucks give a damn about the game?

And, believe it or not, after years of defending Redd, I'm actually starting to get fed-up with him.

They talked about it on the Bucks' broadcast as well. Redd was asked and said he didn't want to talk about what was said only that everyone got a chance to talk about what was going wrong and what needed to be done. Bogut basically said it was about everyone agreeing they needed to do a better job of sticking together and not pointing fingers when things are going bad. He said the players need to be more accountable and not blame Krystkowiak or Harris because the team was playing poorly.

As far as the game, yes the Heat are awful but the Bucks are not very good either so I don't think we should be looking down at this defeat. I was very impressed with the energy level that was on display for the entire game. Mo played great; Bogut played hard (I'm not sure why they stopped going to him offensively after he was dominant in the first few minutes) but I think the biggest key was the fact that the three biggest keys off the bench (Villanueva, Simmons and Bell) played extremely well. This may have been the first time all season all three of them played well in the same game. It was easily Simmons' best game of the season and I think it may have been Bell's best game too.

To me, that was the key. Those three players who have been so bad were terrific tonight.
Nothing will not break me.

mo saying that in the meeting they talked about everyone doing their jobs, that they're a band of brothers, they just need to focus.

Like I said in the game thread, didn't Yi actually get that one on Quinn? Both of them were near there and I thought it was Yi who actually blocked it. Might be wrong.

Mo at 22/9/4 over the last 4 games.

No idea. I brought this up in the game thread. I would have thought he had 3-4.

Yeah, they showed an interview with Redd before the game on the Heat broadcast and Redd seemed unhappy with Bogut... I believe he said that kind of stuff needs to stay in-house.

Unless he's injured (which there is no reason to think), something odd was definitely going on.

bogut step up and be leader of the team =D
which is what he does when he search in google
step up and win

Maybe Bogut shared his google results with the team, and they revealed that Redd is too selfish to shoot buzzer beaters.

if that's true then i've just lost a lot of respect for redd. be a man and admit you've got a problem. it's a lot easier to overcome that way.

having said that, redd looked like he was smiling and laughing on the bench at the end there.

Bogut definitely blocked Quinn on that one play.

On Mo Williams: "At times he a great defender."

I agree.

Mo, IMO has been the best player on this team if you look at the season as a whole. Some might scoff at that, but I believe it's the truth.

If I'm building the team around 3 guys, it's Mo/Bogut/Yi, especially considering we can probably get the most for Redd.

You guys realized what happened in this game tonight right?

Here is what Redd said in the team meeting: "Hey guys, I know you are jealous of my contract....I'll sit this one out and let you guys go for it.
As we all know, if you light up Pat Riley's team, he'll pursue you and you'll get big money from the Bucks to stay.....I'll take one for the team and all you guys will get rich! "

Opposing team's second tier players do the same thing to the Bucks knowing how Harris will then put out the cash for them.....

Did Yi get hurt? Why didn't he play the last few minutes?

When you factor in their respective contracts, definitely.

Mo's at least a decent piece of the puzzle for a young, rebuilding team. He just turned 25 and has a reasonable contract.

Redd at nearly twice what Mo is getting is an obstacle.

He should have played the entire fourth, he was very effective at the beginning of it and then he was out.
