I don't feel like arguing about this because we've talked endlessly about it on the Bulls board, but let's just say we have complete moronic coaches running the team. Tyrus is not stupid, I don't get where people even get that from. Our coach has just said that he was going to tighten the rotation and play the veterans for some reason, and there you go, no Tyrus. In one offseason he's gone from no jumpshot whatsoever to a decent one. IIRC (which I sometimes don't  ) he has a very high PER for being so young and whenever you give him minutes, he puts up big numbers while playing and hustling a bunch. It's just so frustrating watching Wallace and Smith get minutes over him.

I am not sure whether he is dumb or not, but many NBA players are, so what are you going to do?

He's really not. People portray this terrible attitude, lazy guy thing with him which is so wrong it's not even funny. Watch him on the court, he hustles for everything and has amazing defensive instincts and smarts. Sure, on offense he's a little turnover prone (I woulnd't call him stupid), but he's got very nice handles for a big.

For instance, when he made the "free money" comments, nobody ever mentions the fact that he was just talking jokingly (confidently) and had agreed to donate whatever money he won to his high school a week before those comments were made.

I obviously have not seen the Bulls play alot but when I have he has looked aweful and just did alot of stupid things........I can't imagine if he is half the player you are saying he is, he would not get on the court, although Joe Smith has been awesome for the Bulls......so throw Smith in the deal and take out the great Ty Thomas and I am sold.........I have friends and work with people from chicago and no one I know has said a good word about Thomas, all I hear is how sick they are about dealing Aldridge for him.

An even better version of the Bulls trade I keep repetitively posting from a Bulls fan on the trade board:

coldfish wrote:Bulls trade:
Duhon $3M expiring
Sefolosha
Tyrus Thomas
Andres Nocioni

for
Redd

That may be better than the original trade for Milwaukee (because Sefolosha + Duhon has more value than Smith) and would work better for Chicago.

I'm not going to say that's fair, but its a pretty good "blow up" type trade for Milwaukee.

This would be a great deal for the Bucks as it addresses more of our needs than the Smith version I posted initially.

Redd annihilates him as a scorer, and he turns the ball over a lot less despite using a lot more possessions.

You underrate how valuable a high scoring player who doesn't turn the ball over and scores at a very efficient rate is in the NBA.

At least Redd doesn't look like a 12-year-old girl who never takes a shower.

You should probably change that to "scorer". While i'm no expert on Redd, I think he can create his own shot way better than Miller, which accounts for alot. Jason Kapono is a better "shooter" than Redd, but i'm sure you don't talk about him in the same sentence.

What do you think of the trade Coldfish posted, Ryguy?

Bulls trade:
Duhon $3M expiring
Sefolosha
Tyrus Thomas
Andres Nocioni

for
Redd

The contracts in this one don't even come close to working. Hinrich and Nocioni are both BYC players.

Besides, bad deal for the Bulls. If you are spending 15/16 million, would you rather have Redd or Hinrich AND Nocioni? Easy question to answer IMO.

Although TT has been a disappointment, he still have a higher trade value than CV.

Bulls pass even if the contracts worked.

I really like the Coldfish deal and it actually passes the trade checker.

The Coldfish deal is far more realistic.

A good trade.

If the Bulls throw in the United Center in that other deal, that makes it a no brainer for us.

Redd
Villanueva
Gadz

For

Maggs
Cassell
Ross
Powell
Knight
Dickau
Williams
top 12 protected first from clips for this draft and then unprotected after.
minny pick

The trade clears 24mil in capspace for you guys and you can turn around and trade Maggs and Cassell right away for draft picks and expiring contracts.

Maybe so, but if he were also a better defender, rebounder, and passer you would.
