I would do that with happy face.

Terry plays PG and yes I do that as well

No way. Odom is nothing special

Wade has a lot of problems with injuries. I don't think Miami can plan long term rebuilding around him. Would they consider Wade for Redd and Yi? Would we?

I've worked this deal out in the trade checker and it allows for a complete rebuild around mo/bogut/Yi:

redd
CV
simmons
Gadz

to the heat for:

udonis haslem
ricky davis (expiring)
jayson williams (expiring)
dorrel wright
mark blount
alonzo mourning (expiring)
their 2008 lotto pick

Basically the bucks clear the horrible simmons contract, dump redds huge deal, bring back a shorter version of gadz contract with blount, and pick up the backup big man they need alongside bogut and yi with haslem.

Then they can pay jayson williams, ricky davis, and zo to sit out the rest of the year or come off the bench and use their two draft picks to start reshaping their team during the offseason. They can also evaluate Dorrel Wright's potential to see if he could be their athletic three that they've been looking for. Plus the backcourt defense improves dramatically with bell inserted at the two guard.

Bucks to finish the year:

Mo Williams/Ivey/J. Williams
Bell/Davis
Dorrel Wright/Davis
Yi/Haslem
Bogut/Blount

Then add one and possibly two lotto picks and you have a some nice options for a new gm entering the mix next season to build around mo/yi/bogut with solid defense and team play.

there's a 4 page thread on the Kings board that peter vescey said the Kings offered the bucks Artest for redd. i realize he's not usually very accurate, and the salaries don't come close to matching. Kings fans were wondering with Martin, why they would want to add Redd.

but we all know the Kings are lookig at trade possibilklities for bibby and Artest. Anybody want to do a trade checker salary match to see who else the kings would have to throw in to make this dea work? Martin and Artest for Redd? Artest and moore? Artest and Salmons? Artest and an expiring contract?

Acquiring Artes t would solve a lot of milwaukee's perimeter defense problems. if given the opportunity to shoot, Artest could put up the same offensive numbers Redd puts up. it's not like redd is a 60% shooter.

I just thought I'd add this rumor to the pot. You ca n go to the Kings board just as easily without a link to check it out.

I don't know how to make them work with the trade checker... But my favorite trade ideas all involve Chicago when it comes to Redd.

Nocioni + Sefalosha + 1st
Hinrich + Sefolosha + 1st
Nocioni + Gordon

I would obviously do the Hinrich + Nocioni deal, but no way Chicago pulls the trigger on that.

I would do any of those for Redd and I think that'd we would be a much more well rounded team afterwards.

Another deal I would be interested in would be a trade with Houston to bring back:

Redd (Could include CV if needed and take back another role player) for Battier + Scola + Brooks + Snyder + 1st

I think that'd make us a much deeper team It gives us a great young PG prospect, a top tier defensive player and a solid back-up big (Or starter until Yi develops more). Snyders contract is expiring and I'm guessing their pick would be later 1st round since that team would be pretty deadly with Redd + TMac + Yao.

I could see the bulls doing a gordon and nocioni deal for redd since gordon's going to be a free agent.

I would love that deal if herb would commit to paying up to keep gordon in town.

mo williams/bell
ben gordon/bell/mason
nocioni/simmons/mason
Yi/CV
Bogut/Gadz

I don't get the interest in Gordon. He takes the same number of shots as Redd so that doesn't help the Bucks. He shoots a considerably worse FG percentage than Redd so that doesn't help the Bucks. He plays worse defense than Redd so that doesn't help the Bucks. The Bucks would be even worse defensively in the backcourt. The Bucks would remain a guard-oriented offense which is supposed to be one of the big reasons why the team needs to trade Redd. Plus he'll be due for a new contract after next season and will likely be looking for a deal more than he's worth - and that doesn't help the Bucks' cap situation.

I just don't see how trading for Gordon helps this team at all. I see the value in Nocioni but I don't think he's good enough to offset the rather serious downgrade the Bucks would undergo from Redd to Gordon.

I don't see any way the Bucks and Bulls make a deal involving Redd but in my opinion the conversations start with Hinrich and end if the Bulls won't include him in a trade.

I still don't want to trade Redd, but the deals above are ones that I would be willing to do if we were going to trade him.

I surely wouldn't want to start Mo and Gordon together, that would be an awful pairing. If we traded for Gordon I would want to continue to use him as a 6th man and start Bell for this season, then draft or sign a bigger SG next year. (Or trade CV for one after the Chicago deal would happen)

Problem with trading Redd is that it is going to be extremely hard to get fair value back.

If we have learned 1 thing from the Bulls the small back court doesn't make it....and Mo Williams with either Hinrich or Gordon is a much smaller and less tough backcourt then Hinrich/Gordon......I want at least 1 big athletic guard.

I agree, but I hate to see the Bucks downgrade in the process. I think this trade makes the team worse and doesn't really position them any better for the future. I'm not sure keeping Gordon as a sixth man would be viable long-term given the contract he'll be seeking.

I like Hinrich because - this season notwithstanding - I think he's a talented young PG who can defend both guard positions. If for any reason the Bulls are souring on him given his poor play this season he'd be the guy I'd want in a Redd trade. I think it would be foolish for the Bulls to sour on him, though.

I think any Bulls talk must include Hinrich. I would also be very interested in the Kings Artest/Salmons trade. I have always REALLY liked Salmons game. He's a good defender and can score, Artest we all know what he brings. I would be willing to risk a partnership with Artest to get Salmons. If these players both worked out here, we would have improved our team defense significantly (IMHO).

EDIT: Also, I'm not a Gordon fan at all. We don't need him, as a matter of fact I think we have a player or two just like him.

Redd for Artest and Salmons with Redd playing SF in Sacramento.

I'd prefer other deals but this one I might gamble on....I think Artest is crazy and like Ruben in many ways....but he is a top 15 talent when in the right situation......

Salmons can give you firepower at the SG or SF spots and his contract is a bargain.

If you guys think Redd is a "chucker" and takes ill-advised shots, then you'll LOVE Gordon

Or inside Milwaukee County. Tosa is very much part of Milwaukee in my eyes.

Yes, he went to Wauwatosa East High School.

hinrich and noc for redd. while i dont really like noc hes the most sensible and see if you can thorw in cv for TT.

that moves mo to the 2 where he is better suited as a SHOOTING guard who helps distibute the ball.

and the second is

redd for mcgrady and you can throw in w/e extra players it would take to get it done.

the first one is probably safer and clogs all the hole, but mcgrady is the superstar milwaukee never had(maybe ray) and he is the superstar we need to step into the locker room and say MY team this is the way we are going to play, and ACTUALLY DO IT. obviosily i dont mean this literally because bogut would probably punch him in the face.

I would do either trade, but Mo is not starting 2 guard material. A 6 foot SG? No chance. As a backup 1-2 sure.

I was hoping this thread would be a place to narrow down the list of possible destinations and talk about possible Redd trades without letting everybody's whims push and pull the conversation all over the place like the way the Bucks play offense with Redd and Mo in the backcourt. But some people still insist on talking about Cleveland and Miami (nothing to offer) and Chicago (don't need Redd unless the trade Gordon, Bucks don't get better with Gordon) as possible destinations.

I realize anything is possible but let's face it, a Redd trade is probably unlikely to begin with and a trade with a team that has little to offer or would have to offer a similar sg as the principle trade asset in return is pointless. So you're looking for teams that could use a sg and have something to offer at a position of need for the Bucks. I think the other reasons I took certain teams off the list of plausible destinations are pretty reasonable as well.

I would add Charlotte to the off list because they have Richardson and would have to part with him to add Redd, which doesn't make the Bucks better. That leaves Houston (if you think they'd trade McGrady for Redd and CV), Dallas (if they'd trade Howard), Indy (if they'd trade Granger), GSW (assuming they'd move S Jax to sf) and Atlanta (assuming JoJo would be the starting pg). Frankly, Dallas and Indy probably should be in the category of not wanting to give up a good veteran for Redd, so it's down to three teams. Again, all 29 teams are theoretically possible destinations, but those seem the most plausible.

I don't see why Horford should be out of the question, he hasn't proven he's going to be any more than an Antonio Davis/Dale Davis type of role player. GSW may be willing to part with Ellis, and Don Nelson is tolerant of all types of players with unconventional styles, so I could see them wanting Redd. I'd love to see the Bucks with McGrady, and I think giving them an all-star caliber sg and legitimate starting pf in return is a better offer than people seem to think. But my favorite is the other Atlanta deal, which gets 3 solid but unspectacular players (Shelden Williams, Acie Law, Josh Childress) who play positions and fill roles that the Bucks need.[/i]

I am GS fan...

I would love to do Ellis + Harrington for Redd.

Plus I would like to dump Barns + Pietrus for Simmons.

Edit: that's not my favorite trade idea because it's the best for the Bucks, but rather because it seems to be both beneficial and highly plausible considering how much duplicate young talent the Hawks have.

Yet a backcourt of Devin Harris (6'3") and Jason Terry (6'2") made it to the Finals in 2006.
