After looking as bad and disinterested as we have since starting 7-4, these wins feel great. The guys are competing. A little more consistency from some of our prospects would be nice but it will come.
It will be even better if Redd can be integrated into the team concept. I don't know what to think of Des being out - it doesn't appear to make a difference - and there was no love for Jake tonight (just too slow for the matchups I guess).
Jake wasn't even in uniform. Saw a shot of him in a suit.

Simmons has sucked on D all year and at least CV gives scoring and rebounding. Simmons has had like one good game all damn year. Simmons should not be starting. No way, no how.
I still think he's a better 3 defender than either CV or Yi pretty comfortably, that doesn't mean he's great. I think he's looking much better over the past couple of weeks. Totally agree we need CV's scoring but i think it should be for Yi not Simmons. Yi's really lost at the moment.

very good point. it has been great to see the chemistry these last two games. perhaps there isn't enough room for the two of them. but i just can't get my head around trading one of the league's best shooters when all the other shooters on our team are so streaky.

Yep great to see the Bucks win.. if we can just keep this up. We still need more from guys like Simmons but I'm happy to see Bell finally getting his game going.Comet wrote:Hey! A winning streak!
CV, Mo, Bogut, and Bell all had huge games today. Great to see.

Simmons is at least doing something the past few games... He still is a sub-par player but at least he is providing some positive things.
If the guys like CV, Bell, Ivey and Simmons continue to help give us contributions and Yi gets back on track when Redd returns we could make a run for the playoffs. It's almost unbelievable how bad the East is... If we put together a few small winning streaks we are right back into it.

All the players from Flint, MI go by Flintstone. It was a MSU thang.
It isn't a MSU thing. Flint, MI is his home town. A friend of mine played high school ball with him. He graduated a year or two before Charlie. He's always talking up Charlie's shot. I remember the first year Bell was playing for the Bucks and people only talked about his defensive skills. My buddy kept telling me just to wait until Charlie started shooting because he was more of a SG than a PG. Said he played SG all through high school and in college until his senior year at MSU when they moved him to PG.
He also said that alot of athletes that "make it" from Flint get the same tattoo that Bell has on his arm.

On the bright side
The Bucks are now 14-20. . . 8th seed in the East is Atlanta at 15-16. Bucks are only 2 and 1/2 out. So as miserable as it has been the last 3 weeks, a nice streak puts 'em right in the thick of the conference.
The upcoming 10 game against .500+ teams is going to be huge. If they can continue this momentum into the stretch and win 5, I'll be good with it.

Assuming Larry Harris and Herb Kohl are still talking -
I know it probably sucks for this forum to hear that but it wouldn't surprise me at all if that were the case.

Assuming Larry Harris and Herb Kohl are still talking -- this could very well be what Harris is saying although I'd guess he'd point at Villanueva and say his better play of late could bring back a strong piece that will help the Bucks get to the playoffs. Something tells me the mindset among the Bucks' brass (what there is of one - and I'm talking about a mind) isn't so much "The team is 2-1 without Redd and that means we don't need him" as much as it's "Guys are starting to step up and that means this team could be a lot better once Redd returns."

Or perhaps Kukoc, Blake, Mags, and Ford are saying...." I told you so"

If Redd misses more time and the Bucks post a winning record and beat some good teams they'll definitely have some evidence in their corner to back that up.
I disagree....without Redd there is obviously a talent drop off but you can also see that this is a far better brand of team basketball we are talking about. The only true test would be if Redd was traded and how the Bucks would do with his replacement(s).

I can't remember Bobby ever seeing playing the 2 . . . I do remember when he was brought over there was talk of him getting minutes at the 4, which kind of surprised me. The few times I saw him play before the he was with the Bucks I remembered him being a wing man- a guy that could play either the 2 or 3. Honestly I don't remember seeing that, but I would guess that he has somewhere along the line.
