Again though you, GAD, xTitan need to find out the context of the trade proposals.....I'd want to know what trades Kohl vetoed here before I'd get real excited about this. CV for David Lee.....well, that one I would have made. But it could have also been CV for Walter Hermann or something like that.

The Larrys are clinging to life support for their jobs.....I don't want Kohl making the decisions as GM but I also don't want a panic trade that helps us this year only.

I don't know he has vetoed any trades....I am just repeating what Woefel said......and that is the Senator is fighting tooth and nail not to trade CV because he is one of his favorites....if that alone does not tell you the state of this franchise nothing does......a smart businessman would keep all his options open, maybe this just is a toy that Herbie likes to play with and winning isn't that important.

Okay, pretend for a moment that you are utterly neutral on Larry Harris and Charlie V. Heck, pretend we are talking about some team other than the Bucks. If you heard another team's owner - a dilettante who has no basketball playing, coaching or GM experience - was fighting his own GM "tooth and nail" not to trade player X because the owner just happened to really like player X, you'd think that owner is a freakin' idiot.

You know I often wonder why a guy not even 5 feet tall would go out and buy a basketball team. And to me it seems like he was probably picked on his whole young life and been insecure about it his whole adult life so what does he do, go and buy a team with tall guys on it to feel like he is the boss of a bunch of tall people. I think thats part of why he mettles too much. He just wants to subconsciously have that control over a bunch of taller people.

Thats just a theory I am working on anyway besides him loving sausage.

I think we should stick it out with our current roster, and if we don't make the playoffs then start making trades in the Summer with a new GM and Coach.

I don't disagree with that.....it just depends on what people's definition of how good a supporting cast player it is.

I think a guy like David Lee will perhaps always be a supporting cast guy given his limited size at PF....but to me he's a top shelf supporting cast guy. And worth the trade.

On the other hand a guy like Matt Harpring is a good role player too, but given his age and abilities, I'd rather hold onto CV to see if I get anything at the end of the day.

yeah that

....I actually think the Bucks are targetting a scorer more then anything and I doubt they will get that without including Charlie V. in a deal.

2) This really isn't a bombshell but it appears Rick Sund wants to take Mark Murphy's old job as AD at Northwestern.

I'm actually pretty disappointed that Senator Kohl doesn't want to move Charlie V. He's a poor fit for this team (whether Michael Redd is here or not for those pushing for a Redd trade) and never was a good fit for this team. He doesn't work hard, doesn't play defense and isn't very focussed.

The sad thing is if Harris had done a better job of drafting Millsap would already be on the team.

i'm curious, when do you start ripping on all the other gms that passed on him. if you're being fair you'd be doing that too, right?
