I'm starting it September 20 (right after my volleyball tournament in Chicago), so we can go through the pain together. I'm installing a pull up bar in my garage today.

Are you doing the whole workout in your garage? I went out and bought a chin up bar for my doorway but the only doorway sturdy enough to hold it was also too wide. I need an alternate plan.

That is my tentative plan right now. My basement has a pretty low ceiling, which made the pull up part a tough fit. To get the full benefit, you need to have a pull up bar, so I decided to throw a 26 inch flat screen in my garage and build a pull up bar. Obviously, the one concern is weather once we get into the colder months, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

It actually isn't that tough to build a pull up arrangement hanging off the studs in your garage. I'd definitely recommend another person to help hold things into place and ease the transition of switching tools, but it's not that bad really. Took me and my pops about three hours today.

Good blog here if interested (this model is similar but not identical to how I built mine):

I bought one of those pull-up/chin-up bars that just hang on the edges and top of your door... Works great. :D

I tried the almond thing this morning for a snack. 20 of them and I'm very full. Perfect.

I've probably had a dozen every day for the last week. I'm down to 204.6 lbs, lowest mark yet. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

I just want to give you guys props for doing this. I consider myself in pretty damn good shape and pretty strong. I work out at the gym 4-5 days a week lifting and running. My neighbor just got this P90x and he invited me over to give the AB Ripper workout a try. OMG. After the 15 minute workout I'm feeling muscles in my stomach I never knew I had. A LOT harder than I thought it was going to be. So pops to all you guys doing this.

Just finished day 1 of P90X. Wow. Outside of first week of basketball tryouts (HS and college), closest I've ever been to puking. Got through about half of Ab Ripper X.

I do find it is a lot easier to workout if someone is pushing you though, I think I'm going to like it.

Tomorrow you get to do plyo. You'll do better trying to mimic Pam than Dom.

I heard Plyo days are ridiculous.

I'll start the program eventually, but it'll be a month or two.

Yeah he's going to need some luck. He could try mimicking Eric Stolhanske from Broken Lizard and his fake leg.

I coudn't keep up with Erik when I first started Plyo, he does great on one leg.

But that's what's nice about P90X you can follow any one of them depending on your level. Wednesday is my plyo day and it still kicks my ass, even over a year after starting.

Well, I've stuck to it and haven't missed a day. Have Ken Pow tonight, then a rest day. My legs are as sore as they have ever been in my life. I'm walking like a moron.

The Plyo day was the toughest workout I've ever done, I think.

Yeah Plyo doesn't seem to bad as you're doing it. But it is :)

I haven't done much since I was training for the Chicago marathon, but everytime I do the chest and back workout, I feel so fit the next few days. I really can't wait til I can really do this program.

Actually the plyo at first really killed me. Now is one of those that i do better. I am forced to do a lot of cardio during the week so i'm kind of fit. The muscular things are the ones that are killing me. Since I have to Play soccer 2 times a week, i kind of changed the workout schedule a bit. I know, that the results aren't as good that way but its the only way i can do it and i only stop one day per week as well.
