Let's hope that thread works as an olive branch with the Raps board for the time being. I really want pics, possibly a Gronkowski-esque cell phone vid as well.

Don't mean to be debbie downer or anything...but I don't think there is a single team that will want him.

The only thing that would make this better is if SJax and BJ get arrested for disorderly conduct tonight. A Canadian cherry on top of this **** sundae.

For what it's worth,

Bars legally must stop serving liquor at 2am here in Toronto, I know some of the cities in the US are as late as 4:30 (NYC - or is it all night? latest i've had was 4:30), or serve all night long. Clubs also are usually closing up by 2:30am and have everyone out by 3am at the latest. I used to party a lot and have been to a lot of the venues, and know several promoters and have some idea as to how things work here, but as far as timings go, it's pretty standard across the board. Tuesdays are relatively dead, but maybe things have picked up in the past year or two (I stopped going out). I don't see anyone doing much partying tonight, unless it's in their hotel rooms, or maybe an after hours club and have hookups to after hours booze. Obviously for a pro athlete that wouldn't be hard to do, but club owners are pretty anal about losing their liquor licenses. The main thing is that tuesdays are dead and there won't be many people partying. No offence, but S-Jax isn't exactly a household name to get the skirts to come out tonight either.

My conclusion: Nothing happens tonight.

I'd still be annoyed as a bucks fan. It could just be some mutual agreement between the promoter and SJax to use his name (I'm not sure why), but it does show a lack of professionalism on his part.

Toronto fan here, dunno if this was posted, but here are a few links

Message from Jax to Toronto : http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/11/1/339071/723.wav

FB Event : http://www.facebook.com/events/264374796969096/

FYI, players have been doing this for years, Toronto has a good nightlife. It's essentially our 6th man, especially when we have Sunday games that start at 12pm EST.

I just sing this song when I think of Jackson's parties.

Kind of overblown. I have no problem with Jackson pursuing his music career considering his basketball career is almost over. Guys aren't prisoners to the team.

You're right. Who the heck cares Jackson is under contract for almost $20 million.

Let Bogut take time to go surfing. Dunleavy should get a sabbatical to do woodcarving. Let Skiles do commentary on TNT during games.....

Sorry, but he is making 9 million a year. This is his job, He should be focus on playing basketball. In the real world he would be fired and the company would not have to pay him.

Right normally I'd agree, except he's already been suspended once for sleeping in, his road splits were awful, and at the end of the day his body is his instrument. I wouldn't say partying all night helps a player of Jackson's age recover properly in the shortened season. That is about professionalism, simply showing up to play is not doing your job... At least not doing it well.

So he still has freedom as a person. Granted his off court stuff shouldn't affect his job, but this isn't college sports and guys have the right to do what they want with their life. If he wants to party, that's his right.

Not saying it's a good decision and obviously his play has fallen off, but if he wants to party, that's his choice. His contract size is irrelevant and just because you want him thinking/doing basketball 24/7 doesn't mean he should be.

Ladies and gentlemen this is exactly why Stern screwed up and didn't hold out long enough to break the terrible players union, this is the ULTIMATE example of why there should never be guaranteed contracts in this pathetic league.

Yup.

"They have the right to do whatever they want... even if they don't show up to work... or even if they perform terribly. It's their right to do as they please."

Sadly, the owners don't have 'the right' to fire the employee who doesn't do his job... like pretty much every other job.

100% agree. I'm a drug rep. If I party all night because I "still has freedom as a person" I would get fired w/ no pay. This ridiculous concept of guaranteed contracts needs to go. Lock them out next year again until this gets achieved otherwise this type of garbage is going to keep on happening. Jackson should be suspended and fined for every little infraction going forward to set a precedent for the rest of the league!!
