This deal to me just makes no sense without Smith. I mean where is Ayon getting any minutes now anyway?

I mean, if Redick falls in love with Milwaukee and does a reasonable deal its a winner, but I cant see how it is anyway else, and it'll end with us overpaying.

He was great on the bench. Not sure how good he is off the bench though cuz he never got up.

I'm going to laugh when Udrih produces at a similar clip as Redick the rest of the season in Orlando

Now, like I said, if he walks the deal looks a lot worse.

Ellis should be Gooden'd now. He can't be allowed to play anything more than spot backup minutes.

For someone who is notoriously championship or bust, I don't understand how you like this. This is seriously a move to keep the 8th seed and nothing more. Now whether thats for 30 more games, or 4 more seasons is the question.

Because the Bucks aren't bad enough to tank. Not with Sanders and Ersan still around and improvements to Henson. The frontcourt is too good.

If you would have told me that Ersan was going to be moved for a high lotto pick, our expiring guys were gonna get moved for late 1sts and we were gonna let Baddy walk, great! Let's rebuild.

But Ersan wasn't moved, the Bucks seem intent on paying Baddy and Sanders isn't going anywhere. So now we add a good, smart all around SG who HOPEFULLY means the end of the Ellis era.

And we added a nice backup big in Ayon.

I have no idea who Ish Smith is, though.

I was a big fan of his when he was coming out of Wake Forest. He was a beast. But I'm still beyond upset about this trade.

I think the funniest part of this deal will be Ellis still playing 35+ minutes per game.

Nah europa can go f*ck himself to death. He wanted to get rid of Harris and celebrated Hammonds hiring. We somehow downgraded from an above average used-car salesman to the love child of Chauncey Gardiner and Brick Tamlin. **** EUROPA. And don't give me the BS about his wins in the draft, THE CREDIT GOES TO THE SCOUTING DEPARTMENT, NOT HAMMOND. Plus I mean if PPs monkey draft machine didnt make the point another way then I don't know what to tell u. EUROPA IS IN CONTENTION FOR BEING THE BIGGEST BLOWHARD ON THIS BOARD. THAT'S A BIGGER ACCOMPLISHMENT THAN BEING THE WORST GM IN THE LEAGUE, THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT FOR WHICH HAMMOND JUST STRAPPED TO HIMSELF TODAY!!!!!!!

Ok crazy mad props to you :D

Yep. Udrih's value is what's lost in this trade. He's not that far behind Redick in productivity when he gets minutes, though I will concede that Redick fits the team's needs more.

I liked Tobes but I'm allright with the deal, assuming Redick can be resigned. I'm actually more nervous about the backup 1 situation as a result of this deal, I like Urdrih (sp?). But seriously, at least one of the Swag Bros gotta go!

This x1000.

The logic I've heard regarding Brooks (which I also agree with) is how he can't get off the bench on an average BKN team and is losing minutes to the likes of Stackhouse/Bogans.

The same applies to Harris. If he really was as good as everyone here wants to believe then he would've been getting some burn, somehow. Now Redick doesn't turn us in to a championship contender but the Bucks got the best player in the trade.

Yup.

Only 20 and already has an NBA post game. Impressive inside scoring ability for someone his age and position. He has an innate feel for scoring in the paint that you can't teach. Needs to work on his mid-range game (and definitely his D) but if he can develop that shot his offensive potential is off the charts. If the Magic work with him and give him a legitimate opportunity in their offense (something the Bucks refused to do since that would mean taking precious shots away from the Swag Twins) he could be a 15-20 ppg scorer in this league with strong efficiency. Even if his defense never improves that ability to score should give him plenty of value. Again, he's only 20 and has a very bright future. Lot to like with this kid.

So, let's all bombard Redick's twitter page and tell him to get out while he still can.

This is going to be a **** when BJ/Ellis start losing mintues to Redick. I'm sure Hammond really thought this through.

I just need to add to the people talking about keeping Larry and John and the Pick.

Just because we didn't stupidly throw away our best assets doesn't make this deal any better. Saying, "Oh, we at least we didn't lose Sanders" isn't a defense for this deal.

We could've traded for Andrea Bargnani and got the "best player". That is an awful way to look at a deal. Redick doesn't even make us the 7th seed.

They saved us from our selfs. Any asset going out for Smith would've been just as bad as it was for Redick.

No way, it almost certainly would've involved Ellis which is automatically a win. Redick + Smith - Ellis would've been a great day for us.

Smith in, but who the Hawks would have gotten is not right.

Ferry has always been a douche. He's a big reason why so many people hate Duke today. Ferry-Cherokee Parks-Laetner, they're all kind of the same guy.

This is a classic Ferry weasel move, like this one...

Very hard worker, good rebounder, likes to back a smaller defender into the paint. Needs to work on his handle, his 3pt shot, and defense. I think he'll be good, a Melo-lite type volume scorer.
