Nothing wrong with taking a big swing for a guy like Giannis. This is a great chance worth taking for a go-nowhere franchise. Build a base of young assets.

Also ... Enough with the Tobias crying. Yeah the FO effed that one up. Seriously though... Time to talk about guys still here and what we still might do tonight and in free agency.

Maybe we continue to move forward with more high potential acquisitions and see what kind of teacher Larry Drew can be. And Hopefully it really IS his strength.

We cannot trade Jennings tonight. It's not possible

Basically why I am so confused with this pick lol. This team has nfi what its doing.

Hammond's actually been very consistent as a drafter. He tends to target players who need seasoning but have perceived high upsides. Every one of his picks falls into that mode in some fashion.

It's after the draft when things tend to go all to hell. One might be willing to argue that's when Kohl begins to exert more influence.

ETA - and no that wasn't meant to absolve Hammond for his many GM sins.

Exactly!

He almost always picks boom or bust guys with upside.

Sometimes it works - sanders
Sometimes it doesn't - alexander

They drafting hasn't been the issue, it's the trades, free agency, and inability to develop talent and coach. Hopefully Drew and his staff will work with this kid, I just don't get how a team that's goal is chasing the 8th seed keeps drafting the youngest player in the draft, but doesn't allow them to develop? They gave up on Tobias and Lamb, and draft a project? Wtf?

Luke 23 do we have to wait until the draft is over? Or can we even trade him? Heck part of me says trade him to NYK for JR Smith?

Doesn't sound like Amandndnaldljaljdaljdljajldbo will be playing in Summer League. Sounds like he'll be playing in Greece.

Meet Giannis Antetokoumpo, a 6-10 point guard who already has signed to play professionally next season for Zaragoza in Spain.

youre being kind of critical on the guy considering you dont know sht about him.

im in the dark as well. but if the little bit of video ive seen tonight is very intriguing. his measurables are insane. and with those measuables this guy is certainly not some biyombo type if thats what your thinking. i was concerned about his shooting form as my first impression but yet the report also states he can shoot pretty well despite that. i get the sense that as he ages and they clean up the mechanics there that maybe he can be solid. put that with his handle and his size and we may really have something. the foreign part for milwaukee helps too.

im guess im optimistic. this is as close to a hs kobe/garnett pick you can get these days.

New to this, used to Brewhoop, so i look forward to being here. I've been reading this forum for some time, much like most of you i want the Bucks to do something extreme, anything. Most hopefully that has something to do with youth. I love this pick. It's already been said that he plans to come over this year so he will be using a roster spot immediately. Now all we need is Wolters to drop to us.

Does anybody know if this guy can shoot the ball at all? Like this pick but if he has absolutely no shot, I am leaning towards bust. If he has a decent shot, this guy might be beasty in a few years. Seems a little timid on defense though. Very very exciting pick!!!!!
