Yessir! It's great that they scheduled this so early in the year. It'll really dictate mock draft talks going forward.

I don't know how you rank these guys. No idea. I could make a case for any of Parker, Embiid, Wiggins or Randle going #1 overall and feel good about it.

Give me any one of these cats. They all have light year's more talent than any player currently on our roster.

What did you see from Embiid that no one else did? The inexplicable 3 he almost banked from the top of the key? I would feel weird saying his name in the same breath as the other three after tonight.

I really don't think Self is doing Wiggins any favors tossing him on the low block and not even moving him around while Randle and Parker were really highlighted and utilized heavily. I think Wiggins still has the highest ceiling of the three but he probably wouldn't make as good an NBA player right now as the other two.

Really impressive night for all three of them.

Read the college basketball thread from tonight. I'm not the only one impressed.

Exactly how I feel as well. And in worse case scenario we may have to "settle" for Smart, Exum, etc. This will be a fun year to follow these great college players knowing we actually have a chance at one of them.

I agree that Parker has the "it" factor... right now he's at the top of my wish list. He'd be a great fit in Milwaukee.

I was watching the Badger game and missed most of the Duke/KU game but Embiid was 1/4 with 1 block in 20 min and was less of a defensive player than I expected when I saw him. I'll certainly look out for him but I sure didn't see anything to suggest he was close to that echelon.

Parker also impressed me more than Wiggins. Parker just has a feel for the game and a confidence level that may be unmatched in college ball. He's fearless out there and seems to want to shut people up about the constant Wiggins talk.

I have to see a lot more before I crown one better than the other, but first glance, I love Parker's game.

Duke had guys who were 6'2" trying to guard wiggins. He was drawing fouls like crazy or scoring if he caught the ball down low. Additionally, duke was forced to immediately double a lot to make wiggins pass the ball which opened things up for everyone else on Kansas,

I am much more lukewarm about Parker's game than everyone else seems to be. His athleticism is a little dicey to me and while he could very well end up Paul Pierce, the list of guys without elite athleticism that weren't as good in the league is much longer. I also didn't like a few of his shots.

He's a better athlete than pierce IMO. His athleticism isn't really a concern, he's huge and explosive while still being coordinated. Excellent footwork too. He took some questionable shots in the 2nd half, but he's still a young guy, that can be improved upon. He can score from anywhere on the floor in a variety of ways and shows excellent ability to wad defenses and adapt. Great floor game and IQ. Theres virtually no way he isn't a big time scorer in the NBA who is a good passer.

1. Parker
2. Wiggins
3. Randle
4. Smart
5. Exum

Embiid needs to show me more to break the Top 5.

I think Parker is a pretty gifted athlete himself. No, he's not Wiggins athletically, but the guy made some ridiculous body control moves tonight. Oh and there's this:

In my opinion he's got the potential to be the Tim Duncan of small forwards. Skilled, fundamentally sound, while being a sneaky good athlete. All with top-notch intangibles.

He has certainly had some highlight plays but Pierce did too. I don't think of him as explosive. I also dislike the midrange J and he LOVES 'em. Which is probably where some of my Pierce talk stems from. I'd have to see his shot chart but it seems to be like he settles a lot just so he can have the shot. I certainly don't think of his as a great passer. I mean he had the ball on most possessions (unlike Wiggins who spent time on the block doing nothing - put it together Bill Self) and ended up with one assist. Seems like a shoot first point forward. Maybe Gordon Hayward.

Either way, I don't think his ceiling is anywhere near Wiggins or even Randle.

Gordon Hayward? Are you kidding? And, Gordon isn't shoot first - even on the herrendous Jazz team. But, Parker has way more together coming into the league than Hayward did. it's not even close. Parker is also more explosive right now than Hayward will ever be. This being said, Hayward is a nice player.
