Watched that dirty plays thing people were talking about. Dangerous habit of swinging at the ball when guys jump. There are 5 clips, first three are eh, 4th one is pretty bad, 5th one is really scary and ugly (Sato lands on his head). Kind of like the Grayson Allen tripping thing where there are some clips where it's clearly intentional and some where it'd be questionable by itself, but there are so many of them that they're all equally suspect. At any rate this is definitely a downside for me.

36% is the floor.

Yeah, the arm swinging is a really terrible habit. He especially likes to wind it up while the feet stop. Basically, the anti-Ersan.

Hes been at or above that for a few years now. I wont fret if hes at 35%, whats more ideal to me is that he doesnt go through long slumps of abysmal shooting.

.360 is the expected, that's his career percentage.

Let's just pencil him in for 45%

My hope for Portis is that being on a team that isn't a complete disaster will help him. He's been on nothing but trash teams his entire career and that has to build some bad habits.

Haven’t really had a talented bucket getter off the bench in the Bud era outside of that nice little playoff stretch Hill had couple years ago. Think Augustin and him will form a nice bench duo, those two with one of Jrue/Khris/Giannis and we should see fewer scoring droughts

I really don’t like Forbes so if we could make a midseason move for another defensive wing think it’ll round out the bench nicely

Maybe Giannis wanted to punch out Nikola too & that's why they signed Bobby.

In his one postseason series (6 games) he shot 46% (6-13). And in the regular season he's never shot under 30%. 35.9 and up the last 4 seasons. So don't know the basis for that projection he'd shoot 25%.

He's never been a Buck before.

Yeah, a good 3+d wing who may be able to start if DiVo can't justify it, & can match up w/ the talented big wings of the league you usually see in the playoffs, would not only round out the roster, it's what this team has been missing for years.

I didn't get that was the point. But outside of Bledsoe, players typically don't drop off precipitously, to the tune of -15%. Wouldn't count DiVincenzo in a bubble.

I wouldn't be shocked if Portis doesn't make it past the trade deadline with us.

do we have to wait until then to trade him, or just cut him? I'd like to see an upgrade there

There's a good chance that Giannis might kill him in practice. Or be best friends. Exciting.

the last play looked like he had a lot of ball and it seemed more like a momentum issue.

Hard to defend the others.
