I think I could actually get behind this.

On one hand who are our other guards in this scenario? On the other hand, if we can't win a title with Beal/Middleton/Giannis and whoever then we are never going to win anything anyway because our best players just aren't good enough.

Yes Mattg , to answer the 1st part ... after forming an actual big 3 who will take most of shots ... you just need role players on the other positions. So Forbes starts as our PG , or if he is included in the deal, a guy like him. He must not be undersized and he needs to be a catch n shoot nearly 40% 3p.

As you said with this trade you reach your ceiling as on what you could bring here under today's circumstances , so we can sleep at night well that we went all in and we tried our best

I like both these moves but it would be hard to throw in Nwora. Kid is a sharp shooter. I suppose it doesn't matter if Bud never plays him lol.

Should try and trade for Tyrese Haliburton using Middleton. Get younger and get some picks.

MIL out - Lopez, Wilson
MIL in - Rose, Ellington, Bjelica

SAS out - Gay, 2021 2nd rd pick
SAS in - Lopez

SAC out - Bagley, Bjelica
SAC in - Gay, Wilson, 3 2nd rd picks

DET out - Rose, Ellington, 2021 & 2023 2nd rd picks
DET in - Bagley

Bucks get 3 rotation players for Lopez. Kings get two expirings and could possibly flip Gay again while getting a good look at Wilson's "potential". Spurs get front court help that they're rumored to be after, same with DET who is also rumored to be after Bagley.

Lopez and Dante are just not consistent. I am not sure what happened to Brook, but man...he has struggled since the start of the Bubble. You have 3 consistent players in Jrue, Midds, and Giannis...the rest of the roster should be available to address the SG and C position.

I like Rozier a lot. Is there any way we can get him without giving up DDV?
still learning the game

Brook is losing value by the day. He makes 13.1 next year and 13.9 in 22-23. It’s almost a contract we’d put a first on to get rid of if we had any.

If I'm Jrue, I'm thinking about not extending here. What a **** storm Horst has concocted.

I really wish he starts speaking and be vocal and create a chaos we need in order to get rid of Bud.

Giannis and Khris should start whispering to Horst , but I doubt it.

Priority No1 ... Fire the incompetent coach Bud NOW

Bud is like a cook ... and he serves you steak chicken and Fish in the same dish ... he is bottom 5 coach in the NBA right now. With the quality of the pieces we have , there is no way to f**k up this team as he does... his rotations are just suicidal

I don't know why anyone would want to extend him given how the team looks right now. Attaching yourself to a 30 year old boat anchor with already nil flexibility would be one of the dumbest things we could possibly do.

"This team sucks!"
"AND we have zero flexibility!"
"Double down!"

Saving grace is he has a young family and they don’t want to move again. He’s had some fairly obvious swipes at Bud in his post match pressers though so who knows? Think he’s our best chance of Bud not lasting the season. Just not sure if he is that kind of person.

I mean, yeah, but flushing that draft capital down the drain for a rental is a tough pill to swallow. I think he is good enough that you could extend him and still flip him for value. You might be right though to just move on, but Horst definitely will not be entertaining that thought.

It's a sunk cost.

Don't think there are many economists in the GM ranks. Aint nobody considering sunk cost fallacies.

This. At a certain point, you cut your losses and move on. Don't dig the hole deeper than you have to. Holiday will be a negative value deal the minute he puts his name on the dotted line with a long term deal here or elsewhere.

The knock on Bud has always been that he's a regular season coach only. It was a good idea to bring him in to turn the team around but management should have had the 2nd move planned and executed already. Instead they are content with just being a good regular season team and honestly looking at other forums that's what people in Milwaukee are content with too.
