Edens and Horst don't **** around, love it.

Still catching up on the thread but this is where I'm at. I think before Bud was fired most of this board would have said no to replacing him with Doc, but unfortunately that's not where we're at now. We just have to do better than Griff. I get that most think of him as merely average, but that's still a huge step up. Even if it might lead to a better coach long term it's difficult to just punt the season given our window with this roster is already small.

Thank God, this team has been unwatchable.

I think the issue is if you hire doc, you have doc for 3+ years. The bucks aren't going to be paying 4 coaches simultaneously. Hope would be considering someone available after the year long shots like Taylor jenkins.

Kudos to MKE_design for the early early heads-up.

Well done Horst, Haslam, Edens, Giannis.

I’m fine with Doc short term personally. With Doc and some d minded trade improvements I think we’ll have a chance. That was not true with Grief. W.

I'm not so sure. We are paying many millions in tax. We have a 2-3 year window. They aren't all of a sudden going to start pinching pennys.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think I'd go

1. Atkinson
2. Stotts
3. Ride it out with Prunty and find a legit long term replacement in the off-season
4. Doc

1. Atkinson
2. McMillan
3. D’Antoni
4. Stotts
5. Doc
6. Prunty
still learning the game

Bud is off the books after this season. They are already fine paying three coaches at once so why wouldn’t they fire Doc or whoever if they don’t win a ring this season? Haslem seems willing to spend.

Love that guy!

I wouldn't even call it a mistake. He just needed Giannis to backtrack on his decision to hire Griffin in the first place, to ultimately fire the guy.

D'Antoni would be a very funny pick. He would optimize the offense, though, which might be all we really need.

I disliked how ag treated Stotts. I have been really concerned about wasting our championship window which is narrow with Giannis already being 29 and being an athletic player.

So I am absolutely glad that this happened. On a human level, still I feel sorry for ag.

As far as the Bucks: this new coach is a potential beacon of light for our championship aspirations in this precious year.

I don’t know much about Atkinson but if he is similar to Bud, I would prefer him the most (after Bud).

Doc is a brand name coach and has won a championship. So he would be better than Stotts I think.

D’Antoni is good but he is an offensive specialist.

Jeff Van Gundy is better than Stan Van Gundy.

I am excited about our championship dreams again, for this season!!!

We do need one of Caruso, Murray or Matisse.

I don't see it that way. Nobody gave Doc a contract. He can accept a 1 year deal or he can just stay home

Correct, even in mid season (see Finch).

Bucks have a better record than Philly with AG, I think that's a grass is greener approach. Doc has been there before, that's literally good enough for me. AG has a case as the worst NBA coach of the last 5 years
