I like Cam Johnson but he’s a Gary Trent Jr level impact player.
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

Trade any combo of Khris , Brook , Pat and our 31 1st ...
Do Not Trade ... Bobby Portis and AJ Green

I have a feeling Horst is going to trade my NOT trade players.

The reasoning behind not trading Bobby is that there is noone getting paid his money 12M who is better than him and his rebounding is much needed. So since we are in the 2nd appron and can't aggregate, any Bobby trade is stupid. It solves one problem and creates two.

I know this is the less popular opinion but I really like Portis on 12M. You all don't know that REBOUNDS IS A PART OF THE DEFENSE. You all think that steals and blocks or the fake Pat C shot contests are D ... you always forget that defense stops when you rebound the ball or steal it. So in my book, Portis is not terrible as all the podcasters say on D. Portland out-rebounded us by 17 boards .. Jesus are u paying attention or am I talking to a fkng wall ?

So the same ppl defending Khris with stats ... say that Bobby's stats are fake empty stats.

Anyway let's see what we do in the deadline. I think Horst will trade Portis and we will get worse. Let's hope we somehow get Butler. I wish he forces his way to us.

Trent is replacement level, CJ is already 1.5 VORP. Solid impact player.

Ive been saying it and there it is now on the wiretap:

Golden St re enters Butler talks.

They will probably win this thing just because they can offer younger players and less distant picks if they have to. Dont know if that actually makes them a true contender but i can see the logic

Bobby can be aggregated, as long as the deal gets us under the 2nd apron. We'd need to aggregate Bobby in a Jimmy deal.

I do agree that if Bobby is dealt, a replace big needs to be found.

The trick for GSW is they don't have the right contracts. Wiggins has too many years left.

For the 1st time, I'm considering Wiggins here.

OK, I did some math. How horrifying would it be for the Bucks to aquire Jimmy and give him a 2y/121mil extension instead of just letting him opt in next season? Let's get a look of 2025-26 payroll in that case.

1. Butler.......58,5
2. Giannis.....54,1
3. Lillard......54,1
4. Lopez.......10 (apx)
5. Trent........5,7 (tax-MLE)
6. Johnson....3,1
7. Green.......2,3
8. Jackson.....2,2
9. Livingston..2,2
10. Smith......1,9
11. Rollins.....1,9
- 4 vets.........8,8
- total..........204,8
- 1st apron.....195,9
- 2nd apron....207,8

You can still bring the same team back and again avoid the 2nd apron. If Jimmy just opts in it doesn't make any difference. Maaaaaybe you avoid the 1st apron, but you are still a tax team and all you can play with in free agency is Brook's bird rights and the tax-MLE (probably for GTJ).

Having said that I wouldn't mind overpaying for Jimmy's contract if that's what it takes to have him happy and locked in. It's the same situation with Dame. Both could have had a different landing spot in mind. But they fully understand that at their 35 Giannis gives them a top chance for their first ring.

He was never 1.5 VORP over a full season, and certainly not in a half season.

Agree this is a great angle. I kind of feel even a pre broken down Midds was viewed this same way by other fanbases. Even within our own fanbase it's been very mixed when it came time to resign him or shop him. If you were to remove his relationship with Giannis the narrative around this fanbase likely would have been much different.

Cam's DLebron is horrendous this season but its probably team related to some degree.

I havent watched a ton of him but i know hes tall, athletic and can shoot. Hes two inches shorter but maybe he profiles like a Michael Porter Jr who can play better defense?

Easy to see why a large handful of teams are chasing him. Is he a third option on a title team, though? Idk.

I can't see the Heat giving Jimmy Butler what he wants. I don't think he goes to Phoenix. I can't see Pat R. trading Jimmy to the Bucks either from still being ass chapped from losing out on the Dame trade. Guessing he gets traded to a team that can offer better picks/young talent without putting Jimmy on a contender. I could see them sending him to a scrub team to finish out his career, without a real chance at winning a championship, he will likely try to pout his way off of that team too after he signs his contract. Or have a dark horse like Philly offer a trade to shake up the roster, while holding the rest of the league til the last minute of the deadline. Guessing the Bucks trade Pat, Marjon and maybe another scrub then revamp some with the buyout market. Likely putting Thanasis back on the roster as well.

Probably recency bias but I think I would easily trade out 2031 pick for Avdija

Pat has his reputation but more than anything i assume he will do whats best for the heat at the end of the day. I dont think he cares what happens after the trade.

Sure, what else is on the package? Love him, but Blazers got him for 2-1sts, and 2- 2nds. They're still 6.5 games out of the play-in, so I'd think everyone is on the table for them.

No Robert Williams or Dalano Banton in last night's game. Interesting...

OKC in: Portis, Livingston
Blazers in: Ousmane Dieng, Dillon Jones, 4- 2nds from OKC
Bucks in: Robert Williams, Dalano Banton

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
