This is something that's really bothered me about triple A games I've played lately. It feels like oftentimes they're long just so they can advertise how much time you can spend on it. Give me something like Portal 2 any day of the week.

Screw it, I'll tell you. Last of Us 2.

I only played about 10 hours of the first one and quit, kept failing a stupid stealth mission. Have a buddy who's playing part 2 and said it's good but a really long game.

Haha this sounds exactly like my experience with it. Kept failing an earlier stealth mission, got bored and never played it again.

Yep, this was my experience with the original too, which is funny because I love playing everything stealthily if I can.

My last escape attempt in Hades was back in the first week of November. Picked it back up tonight after seeing all the GOTY awards and now I can't believe I ever put it down for so long.

Yea, I love it, though I only really play it docked with the pro controller.

THAT looks freaking rad.

Speaking of Hades, managed to escape on my first attempt back. One thing I quickly learned is I don't really have any kind of plan and that's dumb. Have no idea what builds I should go for. I just wing it, and I stumbled into a shield build that was just a monster defensively. I need to pay more attention to the details in this one.

Is Hades still a good experience on Switch? I need something to help me dust it off.

It's kind of like the ultimate Switch game to me. I've got 45 clears on 89 attempts and 90% I did in handheld mode. The pro controller is great, but the joy con buttons being so close actually help me with dash strikes.
