Same, and Sparky went on that same tangent. Targets like that, just to switch things up, really prove that this organization would have no plan going forward. It'd be the same 'let's try this' approach and hope it sticks. There would be more excitement about a direction if the target was Curry and the Bargnani/Gasol or whatever part never factored in. If Jennings is definitely going, we should be going for prospects or picks.

Where are we running with this rumor? Jennings/Jackson for Bargs?

There was a bit of an exchange, which I didn't include, where Sparky suggested Jennings to Toronto for their pick and then Woelfel said "not quite". I'll have to listen to the audio when it's posted to hear that exact exchange and transcribe it correctly. Woelfel has no problem acquiring players 26 and under.

Bargnani might be a target for Jennings. I want to listen again to the exchange from Woelfel and Sparky. Emphasized players 26 and under.

Bargnani for Jennings would be TJ for CV part 2...

Except Bargnani is FAR better than CV. I'm perfectly fine with dealing Jennings, but if it's for Bargnani, and we trade Bogut, I would be furious. As I said last summer, I feel as though Bogut and Bargnani would work very well together if they were able to stay on the floor.

Still not a preferable direction which is disappointing.

I'd rather have Ilyasova than Bargs although the comedic value of a Bargs-Gooden defensive frontcourt would be rather epic.

Ilyasova is no worse than Bargs factoring in D/rebounding. He's actually probably better.

In no way, shape, or form should we look to acquire Bargnani.

Flip the protections and I'd do it. We'd want a good shot at getting a high enough pick this year. Next year, if Bogut is reasonably healthy, that could be a pretty weak pick. You would still be getting protection against winning one of the three lotto spots this seasons. That should be enough. You got to take some risk.

I'd rather have Bargnani and his 3 years 33 million than shell out 40+ million for Ilyasova.

I'm another one who's not that into Curry, esp if that means Jennings is going somewhere. Jennings is the kind of player you're trying to get, a winner, a gamer, someone you can build with. Why unload the best acquisition/pick you've made in 4 years?

Curry is a very good player, sure, but he's not a superstar, and worse he may never be the same player he's been because of his foot. What's so great about acquiring an injury prone guard for an injury prone center--esp when the center has had a range of injuries without one serious chronic one, and the guard may very well have one? When that guard is going to hit free agency shortly?

Is this all about what Jennings said a month ago? Goodness, a candid 22 year old player said he's looking at the different markets in the league. Ok, so you'd hope he'd recognize that it's an inflammatory thing to say, but he's just being forthright. Why inflate it into a big deal? Is our franchise like a 12 year old kid--"I'll show him"?!

If a Bogut-Curry goes through, fine, whatever, but I really don't see it as a huge plus move. If it goes through and pushes Jennings out too in an accompanying trade, I think those moves will be right there among all the terrible Bucks moves we lament.

Piggybacking off of Sparky's speculation...he was probably just throwing crap against the wall, but seems like something the Bucks would do based on their history. A flawed point guard for an empty stat charmin-soft big man.

For the record, I'm a little wary of Curry given his ankles...the skill of availability would be a welcome addition to this team after suffering through 7 years of Bogut.

Ready for some kind of change though...I've stopped watching the team completely. Hoping for a reason to get interested again.

I'd rather re sign Ilyasova than trade Jennings or Bogut for Bargnani.

I think he is better, especially when you factor in D and rebounding. Plus, he'll be a lot cheaper in all probability. It makes no sense to trade for Bargnani unless you have a deal in place to move Ilyasova. Even then I wouldn't like it. The only thing the Raps have that interests me is their 2012 first.

I agree. I'd be shocked if Ilyasova got a deal like that. I think he tops around $8M per year. And that may be high.

Yeah I heard that too - for those of you who are curious he just talked about the Bogut/Delfino for Curry/Thompson/Biedrins trade that someone from RealGM suggested. He then went on to say we would have a nice young backcourt but we would still need to move Jennings and Jackson... Ended with what Kohl is probably thinking... "we will be a 4/5/ seed for years to come and finally get that new arena built" LMAO
