If Curry was completely healthy we wouldn't even be having a conversation about him. Take a risk and hope you can get a great young player for the future.

I am fine with Curry as long as we don't turn around and trade Jennings for Bargnani right away. I'd like to see what those two can do together the rest of this season and then make a decision in the offseason.

You might not have to if we trade for McGee.

so two undersized 2 guards who have zero abaility to distribute the ball and play defense....I am sure Gooden will clean up that mess.

I have no faith in Hammond pulling off a deal that doesn't handcuff the franchise for 2-3 years.

Cap space to me is a secondary consideration. Milwaukee simply doesn't have the juice to entice free agents to come here without overpaying on a per year and/or length basis. That's why any major trade that happens must bring back either young talent or attractive draft choices. If the Bucks are going for cap space, when it becomes available it will be eaten up by 8M contracts which should be at 6M. And then the whole damn cycle repeats itself.

As unsexy as it is, I'd be fine with Hammond staying pat and hoping they cruise to a non-playoff finish. At this point, I think both Skiles and Hammond are gone. Sure, the ultimate would be a complete housecleaning where Walter, Babcock, etc are gone, but this would be a start. I'd rather have an incoming gm make the major moves and, god willing, have a long-term plan he'd have the patience to execute.

I would rather have Curry than Ellis if I am Golden State, but the Bucks most likely wouldn't be dealing Bogut if he were healthy as well.

I don't mind seeing this either. If you have a salary dump move with Brown too, you could possibly use the money on Ersan.

Jennings, Udrih
Curry, Livingston
Dunleavy, Harris
Gooden, Luc
Ersan, Brockman

Still try to trade Jackson at the deadline as well, if not amnesty him in the offseason. Let Delfino walk I suppose, even though he should be traded now for some small value.

Person involved in the talks says Rockets have now backed away from Bogut discussions to pursue another deal. Stay tuned.

I'm almost afraid to see a deal take place. That's how little confidence I have in Hammond making a move that makes us better. His ceiling is trading crap for crap, so...

Woelfel said something about Jennings for a good big and not over 26.

The speed that this thread is growing is ridiculous. It's not easy to catch up if you walk away for too long and come back to it.

+1

I'm guessing that was something that Sparky just threw out their for conversation sake tonight, when of course discussing that Woelfel said Jennings may go now too?

His ceiling thus far for trades has been the Salmons trade which was a ridiculously great trade for the Bucks.
