The difference between what the Bucks did and the tampering that the other teams are clearly doing is the Bucks didn't even try to hide it. There was no illusion that they might have just gotten a complex contract negotiated in 5 minutes.

It's the difference between your girlfriend cheating on you behind your back and her banging some guy in the living room while you watch TV.

If the NBA lets THIS go then there is no point in having the rules at all. The good thing about the investigation is we might actually get down to the bottom of what happened. Who was the leaker? Did Bogdanovic screw the Bucks? It will be interesting, that's for sure.

It's so clearly this. Look at the lost opportunities and assets over the last few years because son of billionaire has itchy Twitter fingers and Woj on speed-dial. Bucks need to run a tighter ship years ago. This week is a culmination of all the years of Bucks loose lips -- ultimately Costing us Giannis and whatever picks the NBA wants to strip.

Even if this is the fault of someone in the Bucks organization, our owners should play some hardball with the league office. That's what I would do at this point. I'd tell the NBA they need to back off, or I'm going to call a press conference, and go through all of the blatant examples of tampering that the league conveniently ignores. I'd say, go ahead, levy millions of dollars of fines at me: I have hundreds of millions. I'll make this an ongoing national conversation and make bias against small markets a topic.

I really think we should do the deal (replacing Ersan with our own FA S&T) and put the NBA in the position to allow it or void it. This is turning into a much bigger issue at this point.

If Giannis starts to think that the deck is stacked against a small market team like Milwaukee, with this latest example solidifying that belief, maybe Giannis changes his mind and doesn't sign back with us, figuring he needs to go somewhere like Miami or LA, etc. if he wants a chance to win a title.

This selective and hypocritical enforcement of typically unenforceable rules could cause irreparable harm to the Bucks franchise, the City of Milwaukee, the State of Wisconsin, and all small market professional sports teams.

I am ready to once again help lead the fight, on the ground, against this big market tyranny. Reconstitute SaveOurBucks

Should have put us on alert like this was the premonition/precursor that the NBA will come down hard on the Bucks for trying hard to keep Giannis in a small market--like the Bucks have the audacity to try to keep their superstar in Milwaukee and won't trade him now for picks. And NBA thinks "if Giannis is so loyal, what I will do is make Milwaukee unpalatable for his legacy to get him to leave for a larger market so he feels he has no choice but to leave".

Not sure why I do this to myself but my gut tells me we get him through a different deal. Like others have said, if Bogdan really wants to play for the Bucks and Giannis wants him here, he'll get here.
