I feel like there should be a bunch of decent defensive centers in Europe who can hit an open three. We need to find one and give him all the money.

I believe defense is way more about effort and mentality than most people generally realize. I think that if you put Monroe in a system where there is defensive accountability he will become a solid defensive player. I call this theory the "Cavs Mo Williams Effect". Combine solid defense with his offensive skill and rebounding ability and I think he has the potential to make a big jump as a player with the Bucks.

With Monroe, Jabari and Giannis all down low there's gonna be loads of space for MCW to jack horrible 3PA's.

Seems fair. Again, as I said originally his tools fit well with what we (Bucks board) think we need. Problem is that he's a giant tool.

Much rather him than Monroe though.

I really don't hate you. Just your ideas.

They're both pretty mediocre but Hibbert has a top tier ability to fall back on and a jumper that extends the defense outside of 5 feet. Monroe's offensive ability outside of his good hands are wildly overrated.
As if he wouldn't improve our non-existent low post game by leaps and bounds. We don't Moses friggin Malone to do a lot better than what we currently have on the roster.

Dat offensive spacing.

Or you seen a different MCW/Giannis/Jabari to me? I'm hoping they all improve their shooting, but It'd have to be ridiculous...

There just aren't that many defensive centres who can hit jumpers at a reasonable clip in the league. I truly am sorry Hibbert is a vagina.

^^^^ This guy didn't watch the Bucks at all last season. No other team has post options 1-4 like we do.

Our spacing sucks with Monroe or Lopez. It isn't about the center improving our spacing. That is on Parker, Giannis, and MCW being able to shoot.

Monroe gives us a nice young asset that can shore up a weakness in rebounding. The staff can get him to defend just like they did with Zaza. Monroe had a decent steal rate so he fits into the style.

I'd be thrilled with Monroe. Very relevant signing for this franchise if we get it done.
All posts are my own opinion.

You've got me there. Rolo isn't skilled enough to put up phony 15/11 numbers to allow us to eventually move him to Charlotte.

I see the concern there, but at least all three are very good interior passers and Giannis and Jabari get to the rim at a high clip. While the spacing wouldn't be great there is the potential for a ton of easy drive and dish buckets with Monroe's touch around the rim. Also, all three of them would feast at the line if the interior passing leads to shots near the rim.

I'm not in love with Monroe, but Kidd has a history of tailoring offenses to exploit player's niche strengths and I'd be really excited to see what he could do with all of those skilled bigs.

or completely max draymond green and start him at "center". im not even kidding. im sure warriors match but if not him just get a physical, active guy who can shoot some and play up front. just go with that. the friggin warriors just won a title with that. its not like we don't have "true centers" that can play if we have to go big.

There was a terrible part of me that wanted the Bucks to pair Bogut and Darko. :D I think I'd probably rather look towards Lithuania than the Balkans next time though.

Any advanced stat you look at Monroe is better, as well as being younger and a better rebounder; so yes, he is a better player than the mental midget that is Hibbert (and this is coming from someone who doesn't like Monroe very much).

I'd rather give Monroe a chance at 25 years old under Kidd and in our system than Roy **** Hibbert. Monroe has 12 FGA per game and is going to be playing with better players than on the Pistons, if Giannis and Jabari can't learn to score from mid range and to an extent 3-point range then we're not a championship team anyways.
