It was a friendly match against Turkey, Giannis played 24 minutes with different rotations. We can assume that this is just a warmup for GIannis.

Yeah would be a great addition to the Bucks.

Bourousis would be a great addition according to you, but also according to you, Spanoulis is the worst player in NBA history, is not good enough to pay in the NBA, and NCAA players are better than him...

Yet Spanoulis is much better than Bourousis is.....even though Bourousis is the best center in Europe, he's never been Spanoulis, and he will never be that good in his absolute wildest dreams.

I think you pretty much proved with that post that you are a hater and only intended to bash Spanoulis, without ever having seen him play a game. You could not find one basketball fan in Greece that thinks Bourousis is as good as Spanoulis.

Bourousis would be a better Zaza in the NBA, a guy who would be useful on both ends. Spanoulis in the NBA was like Monta Ellis without athleticism or heart. Basically as bad a player as the league has seen.

Bourousis is really fat, do you really think he is going to be a positive in the NBA?

If he wants to be, yeah he could.

I don't want Giannis to get too much bigger. Think he's right around his ideal playing weight.

Agreed. Someone mentioned Giannis appeared to "thin out" as last season progressed, ending the year somewhat significantly thinner than during media day Fall 2015.

Because of Giannis' wide frame, I believe it's important for him to continue his extensive /lift/ regimen while it doesn't interfere with his shooting mechanics. Others have mentioned his form, mechanics and release looked improved from last year - as long his shooting coach is encouraging excellent, consistent form, I say bring on the smoothies and weight training.

All this talk about weight makes me curious to know what both Giannis' and Thon's parents look like. Was it pretty evident that Giannis was going to fill out like he did (and is doing) per a similar body type of his parents?

Somewhat OT, but I'd love to see pics of Giannis parents + pics of Thon's to know if we can project any similar sort of growth in Thon at (reported) same ages.

Crazy to think how well Giannis has developed physically these last two years alone - assuming Thon has similar work ethic and an improved coaching/training staff to work with...he could be special.

Don't think he's that much bigger weight-wise, I remember last summer when those pictures of him looking jacked came out most predicted he gained like 15 pounds but then he himself mentioned he only added like 4-5 and was around 222. He's just way more toned. Probably around 230 now, just a ridiculously good 230.

I think he's at that perfect balance now, big/strong enough to deal with any PF in the league defensively, but super quick/explosive to play like a true perimeter guy.

Giannis' true game breaking position is as the first Point Center, and for that he's gotta keep puttin on the pounds.

An Offesnse where Giannis is at the top of the arc and has 4 shooters around him is just down right UN fair. He gets enough weight on him to hold off the beastly centers in the paint and you can run it almost full time

As a hard gainer myself, 5 - 10 pounds on me looks like 20. He probably gained around 10, and continues as a well oiled machine until his metabolism slows down.

He needs to be able to burst up and down the court though, if we're valuing defending centers or maximizing your speed/quickness, I'm valuing the latter more all day every day. As explosive as he plays, getting huge is risky. He's strong enough now to handle death lineup 5 duty like Draymond or Lebron. Forcing him into full time 5 just to be trendsetters with point center is a recipe for disaster imo, he's mentioned before he doesn't feel comfortable packing on much weight, he's good where he's at.

230-240 is his ideal weight i think, more than that will lose his quickness/speed that makes him so special. I dont like the idea to be a C like at all.

Game day threads for Giannis' games is a good idea.

Clumping it together with his developmental thread messes that up and his game threads could be big. Post it a day in advance the thread would probably be 20+ pages.
