Plus there was a double clutch 360 dunk that looked effortless

I want the options at 2 to both have great careers but I wonder how the workout looked unedited because his conditioning doesn't appear good in this workout either. I wouldn't call most of these moves effortless. He looks like he's working to get it all done.

It wasn't a 360. And I'm talking the Bucks workout, not that one.

I disagree strongly. And you have been hating on Parker consistently for a while.

Also, there is no way he gained 14+ pounds in two weeks

There's definitely a heavy-footed look to a lot of his moves

No way.He looked pretty smooth for a guy 6'8". He does appear to look a little winded by the look on his face. I hope the Bucks did some conditioning test.

If that description proved apt it would be a relief, as long as his foot doesn't continue to bother him.

But if it's simply the weight holding him back then it's another matter. He's still an athlete - he's in great shape. I don't know how it's hating to be objective about the level or conditioning players are supposed to be at/in, if they're healthy.

For all the Parker-Haters thinking that Utah is going to swoop in to be their saving grace...

Like most here I wanted wiggins but an unfortunate turn of events with embiids foot has made that a pipe dream sadly. Damn I wish the cavs would be dumb enough to take chubs Parker but I doubt it. I just don't like tweeners that don't play d like recent high picks Derek Williams and mike Beasley. I'd take exum over Parker personally but oh well.

I'd put the chances of Utah taking Wiggins over Parker at about 0.0 percent. Stranger things have happened but that'd be like if the top prospect was the heir to the Klements sausage and Harley fortunes and we passed.

So do we officially refer to Parker as Chubs now.

I thought Utah wanted Chubs to be the new face of the club.

theFireBlanket wrote:The only reasonable excuse would be that he's trying to put on the weight to play the 4 right away and is committed to turning into lean mass or his past foot fracture has limited him. It is concerning. It would be even more concerning to me if he's on top of the Bucks' board and not Wiggins (no matter who goes first) if the poor conditioning is purely due to laziness.

You can't turn fat into lean mass, they're two separate body tissues.

LUKE23 wrote:I don't see how it's overblown if the 254/11% report is accurate. 11% body fat would have been second worst at the combine and 254 pounds means he's 14 pounds heavier than when he started the season. Also keep in mind that theoretically, prospects should be in the best shape of their lives for these team workouts.

The only excuse I can really buy is injury prevented him from working out. But that's another concern all together.

11% body fat is nothing to worry about, that's still in plenty good shape. I would actually guess he's higher than that, and still not be concerned.

Parker v Wiggins

Man, I don't know. I voted Wiggins but I could easily be talked into Parker, it's really close for me. Higher ceiling on Wiggins, but I think Parker's is higher than some are giving him credit for. Higher offensive floor for Parker, higher defensive floor for Wiggins.

I can definitely fap to hypothetical future lineups with either. Wiggins gives you the insane defensive potential Luke mentioned and Parker gives you a great fit with Giannis and Sanders and a go to scorer we haven't had in forever.

From Parker's perspective, there can't be many better scenarios than to be paired with Sanders and Giannis to hide him defensively, plus having no one on the roster to hold him back from being a go to scorer. Our best players are a rim protector and a facilitating point forward.

Would be pretty cool to draft the next Arnold Palmer.

Do people really think Utah would take Parker just because he's Mormon? That's just silly to me. They already have a solid fan base. No need to do anything silly like that.

Now, if they like him the best as a prospect, then fine.
