They won't even be paying the luxury tax if they use the room MLE and sign a vet min deal or two. Best record in the NBA and a chance to win their first title in 50 years. Disgraceful.
Agreed EXCEPT they do have a $21 million TPE, so if they use that wisely it may, MAY turn out ok.
Sure seems like all their moves are designed to avoid the luxury tax. A little too convenient that they'll be just a few million under after using the room MLE. I don't expect them to use the TPE but I hope I'm wrong.
How do they get a full TPE if Brogdon was a BYC player? I haven't read up on that, but it seems like a pretty huge loophole. I have a hunch his TPE is half his new salary, just as that would be what they're allowed to trade him for (give or take 25%).
Yeah I'm trying to figure that out. Should be pretty easy if we figure out how high of a TPE Cavs got in the Delly S&T.
The Milwaukee Bucks have officially acquired guard Matthew Dellavedova in a sign-and-trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bucks and Cavaliers both issued press releases confirming the deal on Thursday.
Originally, Dellavedova agreed to a four-year, $38.5 million deal with Milwaukee. Rather than him signing an offer sheet, though, the two teams agreed to a sign-and-trade that will give Cleveland a $4.8 million trade exception.
Okay so we get half of his salary unless we're executing it before Lopez and figure out a way to sign him.
