Re: ATL: Free Agency
That would suck but I'd rather play Toronto with Kawhi in the ECF than LAL with Kawhi, LeBron, AD in the Finals.

Re: ATL: Free Agency
It was definitely plausible he'd take that route, but Perk had him going to LAL 100% like 36 hours ago so I'll believe it when I see it.
I hope Bud has spent the offseason preparing to deal with the Raptors wall because that's exactly what the Sixers and Raptors will try to do to Giannis once again. Just like when the Pistons established the Jordan Rules to beat MJ.

Lakers gonna end up giving Boogie a lot of money, aren't they?

Hell yes. And I 100% don't want Kawhi on the Lakers even though I'd relish playing them in the Finals with zero pressure.

He's literally one of the dumbest players I've ever watched play basketball. Dude loved to drive at the hoop with no plan then fire up a shot that looked like it was intended to break a back board.humanrefutation wrote:ReasonablySober wrote:
Damn, Josh Jackson already getting dumped from Phoenix after two seasons. I really thought he was going to be good - especially defensively. His off-the-court **** has been a big problem, obviously.
Off the court just this summer he's been arrested at a music festival and is being sued by his 42 year old baby mama for getting their 4 month old daughter high.

I think the reason is stupidity.
His stupidity is one of the reasons. His lack of shooting and maddening inconsistency are others.
nice try. stupidity on the part of the people who want him gone.

I like it but man is this team getting old.
I mean, what's the opportunity cost here? There aren't a lot of useful players left out there let alone young ones. Seeing if one of the best spot-up shooters of all-time has anything left in the tank seems like a reasonable use of a back-end roster spot.

Kawhi should wait until opening night before he decides and just walk into the lockerroom of the team he wants to play for.

This could be even better. Make Lakers vs. Raptors, in Toronto, the league-opening game, broadcast around the world. WHICH JERSEY DOES KAWHI WALK OUT WEARING!? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT.

Man Korver would be a huge get for us and a big problem if he goes to Philly. We only have the vet minimum to offer him right? Would he take it because I’m guessing he’s still getting paid the salary he was already owed by Phoenix. Of course we do have the coach Bud connection too. Any chance we can get him?

No one will offer more than the vet min.

Did anyone watch Korver last year and actually think he wasn't completely washed? Dude can't move anymore.
This is an amazing stat about Josh Jackson

Did not watch him last year, he doesn’t need to move a lot in our offense, just post up at the blue squares and let it fly. I think he could still do that quite effectively

That’s good, so maybe he will choose us because of the history with Bud and we probably have a slightly better chance to win than if he goes to Philly.

Valid point and I'm sure Kyle will be able to shoot when he's 50. I wouldn't kill them for grabbing him just feel like there may be better options.ibanezjp wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:Did anyone watch Korver last year and actually think he wasn't completely washed? Dude can't move anymore.

I'm curious if JaMiychal Green ends up being a vet min guy. Or maybe take a swing on a failed young guy like Bender.ibanezjp wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:Valid point and I'm sure Kyle will be able to shoot when he's 50. As I said Korver is fine. I never get too worked up about the fringe roster guys in general TBH.
I'm probably biased against Korver because I'm also 39 years old and know how my body feels these days. Lol

Gotta believe he already has a significant standby offer from the Clippers ready to pounce on within hours of the Kawhi shoe dropping.
