This team is never winning sh*t because Giannis is a pathetic head case at the free throw. Seriously I can go in my driveway and practice free throws for an hour and get better and he’s one of the best athletes in the world and the more he practices over the years the worse he gets.

Why would the billionaire owners fly in to watch Jordan Nwora and Sam Merrill when the season opener is in a week
Or why wouldn't they fly in for the first preseason game?

Can’t we just offer Thanasis a 4 year minimum deal, if he accepts it we know Giannis is staying, if turns it down, we know he’s out...

With Kidd's drinking history, Gruber would be a good guy to take on vacation.

If Giannis really wants to win, he needs to get with the Barry family and granny shot his free throws. We’ve lose playoff games from this **** and it’s clearly not getting better.

Only thing I disagree with is maybe when they lost their identity. It was probably before that. Then they made a bunch of reactionary moves compounding the problem. But I think the locker room got messed up BAD in the bubble for some reason.

Holiday is nice. He’s not the go for it move. Can’t stop thinking about how that could be a monumentally terrible move if Giannis leaves. Like, an all timer terrible trade.

"Own the Future."

My Bucks fandom is reeling...but the reader in me thinks this is simply amazing. You couldn't write this kind of tightly-plotted tragedy if you tried. It's perfect. Giannis doesn't want to stay, the front office makes this kind of trade to try and convince him, he leaves anyway.

It's the kind of story that calls for an epilogue (few actually do, but this one does).

It's raining in Seattle today. It's always raining in Seattle. Not the kind of rain most non-residents picture when they think of the Pacific Northwest, buckets pouring down relentless and unyielding. Rather the familiar, omnipresent mist settled over the region, back-lighting the proceedings in the vapor.

No one in the crowds along Mercer Avenue and going straight through to downtown seemed to mind all that much, and most actually seemed to like it. They said it fit the moment; a perfect backdrop to their triumph.

They came back in 2026, seeking shelter from the storm. Bereft a superstar, the previous owners turned a tidy sum to give back what never should have been taken in the first place. It didn't take long for the Sonics to build a contender and recapture the hearts and minds of the Emerald City. Just three years after welcoming them back home, the city now celebrates its first NBA Championship in 40 years. The Prodigal Team.

Khris Middleton, playing out the string of his career for the veterans' minimum, told the Seattle Times that winning a championship "means everything to me. I've had a good career, and had to overcome a lot of adversity. I used to play in the Bradley Center." He announced his retirement before leaving the podium.
