Funny to look at Giannis new contract compared to Chris Paul's current one

I cut cable a couple of years ago, so I hardly ever get to see the Bucks nowadays. Still, this is outstanding news!

Well at least both franchises got to enjoy Dirk. One of us a wheeeeeee bit longer. :D

Seriously though I am stoked for you guys. Hopefully we can get a couple Finals matchups over the next 4-5 years and we can really go at each other.

All of you who were doubting and pannicking for no reason based on an interview and paranoia, hope you sleep well tonight.

Now for the Bucks to keep winning enough so he doesn't ask for a trade.

The opt-out option was to be expected.

Not yet but we should see the organization in a better light than most of us seem to. We're one of the better run franchises in the league at this point and Horst has been a part of that despite what anybody thought of his qualifications prior to being hired.

I disagree. But you're high right now. We'll talk when you sober up.

No, don't do that

So I'm sharing our posts with some of my buddies here and they just don't get Harold Minor's post. I'm laughing my butt off tonight, blowing off some prep work for a presentation tomorrow, ready for another tug off the bottle. "Nip nip nip"

You might say he stuck to the rivers and the lakes that he's used to.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to have way too many adult beverages tonight. Probably at the closest bar near the Fiserv.

You're new.

You'll understand some day. Believe me.

Extension starts 21-22. We have him for five years total if he declines PO, six years total if he accepts PO, under this contract.

Thanks for answering my question. So they must have torn up the last year of his contract (next year).

This is the last year of his current contract. Signed for 4/$100m after his 4-year rookie deal. He wouldn't be allowed to extend this far in advance is '21-'22 was the last year of his contract.

Tangent: remember when he signed for slightly less than the max in 2017 and some people thought they were saving the max slot for Jabari?

Could this have a no-trade clause? I'm pretty sure he would have had to wait until free agency to sign a truly new contract (as opposed to extending his current contract) to get a NTC, but that could have changed since way back when Kobe got his NTC.

I love all the praise for this voodoo character, as if this is shocking that Giannis signed. The Giannis threads have been extremely embarrassing. I'm out.

Giannis just gave us the alternate universe where Anakin Skywalker never fell to the dark side or became Darth Vader.
