It was a good idea to bring him in to turn the team around but management should have had the 2nd move planned and executed already. Instead they are content with just being a good regular season team and honestly looking at other forums that's what people in Milwaukee are content with too.

Are the bucks even a good regular season team anymore ??

I found myself wondering if JR Smith could help us. Lord help me.

I still think some adjustment in how Giannis is used/how he plays would go a long way for this team. Thats squarely on the coach.

Saving grace is he has a young family and they don’t want to move again. He’s had some fairly obvious swipes at Bud in his post match pressers though so who knows? Think he’s our best chance of Bud not lasting the season. Just not sure if he is that kind of person.

Curious about the swipes Jrue has made against Bud?

Considering how many picks we traded for Holiday it stands to reason we could be more committed to him than Budenholzer at this point.

My brain is still stuck on needing more shooting when the real problem is defensive confusion. IOW Smith would make it worse.

Before we do anything rash, we should give Diakite some run if only as a proof of concept to pursue a similar but better player.

I like Bud...but this has been a **** since the bubble.

Horst added a quality guy in Holliday, but left the SG position weak and Center position to just Brook, who has lost his way.

I feel like we are in no mans land. Added defensive players for a coach who doesn't believe in defense much...and didn't add enough shooters to balance the offensive side.

Need to pick a direction. The three best players can play both styles, but the supporting cast and coach have to be hand in hand. Right now the team is a mix mash.

What you mean he left the SG weak according to 75% of this board last year n beginning of this year they had their shooting guard and according to some posters he was a top 10 SG

The starting SG is outstanding. Need depth there though.

Also, Donte needs to play more minutes.

If we trade for Tucker + Boogie, would we be comfortable trading Lopez?

Not positive whether or not Portis would start but we’d have to be real confidant in him to make that move.

Boogie kind of sucks but Tucker would be a big get. I don't think Lopez' role is particularly important but he's a decent NBA player still and losing decent NBA players hurts especially since this team has so few.
Also I'm not a fan of Portis. I mean he's highly skilled and underpaid, but he's not giving us what we need from his role.

I think I could actually get behind this.

Sounds appealing; any pick till 2039 please, 2040 is a bit too much.

I love Portis. Bad defensively, but he's not as big of a negative on that side as Brook. Giving him more minutes than Brook would give us an improvement (although a marginal one).

And isn't Tucker washed?
still learning the game

Based on what? The numbers don't support your argument. The Bucks issues are not on the offensive end.

based on watching every minute of every game. It's plain to me Donte is just not a good nba player. He has no special talent other than hustle. He's not a great defender, has a low iq, and he can't shoot consistently, or drive. Numbers can be made to say anything, but i believe what my eyes tell me more than some numbers on a sheet.

Not denying the big problems with Bud’s defensive scheme for preventing 3 pointers, but I also feel that our bricking of so many 3 point offensive attempts across games puts an undue amount of pressure on our defense.

Is there a way to get Richaun Holmes here *without* giving up someone in the current rotation?

Everyone thinks we can trade DJ Wilson for anybody, so definitely DJ Wilson.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
