Honestly, I've been considering this year Baddy, but it would be difficult for me to buy into his defense with being so weak and heartless. But ok, I'll take away "lousy defender" and add "injury prone." Is that to your liking?

"Injury prone" is the reason he's available at a lower cost. There are a ton of stars that were once considered "injury prone." Hell, we have one on our own team in Jrue Holiday who nobody wanted to touch during the 15-16 campaign while I advocated at times for a buy low. Curry, Embiid, Kawhi, Beal, Anthony Davis, etc. are all guys who've had the injury prone tag on them at some point in their careers. As a general philosophy, particularly as a small-market team. Good players with the "injury prone" tag should be viewed as home run swings for us rather than an avoid at all costs situation.

A long term Porzingis Giannis pairing makes me drool a bit, but Middleton would be a no-fly zone at least for the rest of this year. If we fail again in the postseason, and I think we will, I'd be looking at moves that I once considered non-starters in an attempt to overhaul and put together another core that won't expire as quickly as the current one.

I think the reason a 2nd team is ready to move on from Porzingis is because of the continual questions of his lack of work ethic. The injuries are simply a byproduct of the real problem.

There really aren't questions about KP's work ethic..........

Sorry, but these deals put us about $4 million over the hard cap. Rubio has a rather nasty $17 million salary.

I do like Naz Reid, but I'm sure their GM does too, it's like his only good move so far.

I was a huge Porzingis believer early in his career but Im completely out now. I have zero faith he's ever going to healthy.

We're not making a trade that shrinks Jrue's role to start a near washed guy.

Yeah switched up trade a bit. I don't think the deal puts you over hard cap though. You have to remember that most of the season has been played and Bucks were well under hard cap, meaning they've saved up cap space based on the average season salary hard cap.

We are not well under the hardcap. We've literally gone the entire season with a 14 player roster because we're so close to the hardcap. We're only under by 440,000.

Jrue has his best +/- with Augustin and so does Giannis.

My guess is that it's not including the Leuer and Sanders dead money.

If it's showing $4mil under, it's likely not accounting for Holiday's likely and unlikely bonuses which all have to count against the cap. Bucks are $441k under the hardcap.

Wondered the same thing. Seems like it was to get a pick for a guy they had no plans to extend.

DJW + a few 2nds

for

Svi + Muscala

Doesn't feel like enough, but maybe.

I feel like this is pretty good, but no idea how any of the Dallas guys are valued. Also if we did this, would need to move DJA for something else to fit the roster.

Jrue’s unlikely bonuses, no matter how unlikely, all counting towards the hard cap is so bull **** man. Like it makes sense and I get it but I’m still salty lol

Curious if our cap guru wunderkind knew this going in, or if he himself uses the capulator and thought we would be well below the hard cap.

Svi being an upgrade for us in any way, shape, or form is so sad.

Remember the game this year that Svi hit all those 3s over Forbes. Pretty much Svi's only good game, he's hitting just 33% from 3. Confusing, as he's a great shooter. Doesn't offer much else though.
