Re: Head Coaching Candidates
LOL imagine if they sign Kendrick Perkins.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

All for backing the Brinks truck up for Spoelstra but I don't see why he'd come unless we're offering him significantly more authority than Miami. Kerr lol, Ham is a hell no.
Lue is probably the guy tho, if we had any 2nd rounders left I'd say make an offer to the Clippers like we did for Jason Kidd

I guess if the Sixers lose spectacularly Doc could become available too. Not a big fan of that, though.

Between that post and Woj’s comments, Lue would make sense and would be a great hire. I’d vomit if it was Rivers, Nash, etc.

Rick Carlisle was a player and I have always thought he has a really good basketball mind.

Re: Head Coaching Candidates
Combining that info with what Woj said any of Lue, Rivers, or Monty would make sense
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Why would Spoelstra leave MIA for Milwaukee? Giannis and the rivers and lakes? I don't buy it.

Woj pulled out his dartboard and threw some.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

No ****.
"I think if you're Milwaukee..."
Absolute meaningless BS.

Re: Head Coaching Candidates
Only guys currently coaching I’d want would be Kerr or Spo. Maybe Horst is looking to hire his new boss/partner and fill a POBO/head coach role.

Becky Hammon has ~8 years working with Popovich and won the championship in her rookie season as a HC. I want her to at least get an interview.

Re: Head Coaching Candidates
Kerr and Spo aren't going anywhere. Let's just pray to god that they mean someone who's still under contract but already eliminated from the postseason like Carlisle or Lue (and I'm not even his biggest fan). Monty I guess fits the bill of "high character guy" that the organization values, but as a coach I really can't tell if he's that tactful or if he'd have any clue on how to maximize this roster.
If they're really monitoring the Doc situation though, just....lol. That's really what this smells like to me and if that's the case then I'd be 100% done with Horst. Organizational stagnation personified.

There is no chance Spoelstra comes here unless they have him run everything - which would obviously mean replacing Horst - and offering him a not-insignificant ownership piece. And even then it’s highly unlikely.

No chance this will happen, either.

I think Nurse is our guy. Makes too much sense. My dark horse candidate is Becky Hammon

100% agree with this.

The Woj thing could also be a leak from the Bucks to jawbone Nurse down on his contract demands.

Stated like a fact, but according to Vegas her odds are better than some of the other names mentioned multiple times in this thread.
