My god I hope you can turn about 80% of the display bullsh*t off. That's terrible.

Well I got NBA2K23 for PS5 from playstation plus. Well it's not fully installed yet. But what I got from the start is Training Game-Free Style-Scrimmage-Practice Plays. Training game is easy hitting shots in a open gym. But then I tried Scrimmage as Warriors versus Celtics versus CPU. Only two teams at the time to pick from. Shooting threes suck. I only made two with Klay. Literally the shooting bar has to be 100% perfect. I was losing by like 45 points or so. It got lame real quick. I guess I just suck at 2K.

The Eras mode is so good. Best sports mode innovation in a decade.

Speaking of awesome video game modes, Madden is finally bringing back mini-games.

“Everyone who remembers Madden fondly remembers playing Rushing Attack, and listening to whatever song that they remember from the soundtrack, and that was super awesome,” Dougan said.

Sports writers have waxed nostalgic about it; players have long requested its return, finally EA Sports is listening and bringing it back, along with 25 other minigames that will both serve as a kind of onboarding to playing American football, as well as a means of player and team progression in the Franchise and Superstar modes.

“Yes, it is used for training, and XP, and trying to give them more variety in terms of gameplay and that core loop of Franchise,” Dougan said.

Well it's still copying files. At 76%. I just wanted to play as the Bucks. But if the shooting portion is like the scrimmage before the full game is installed I'll be ticked off. Heck the scrimmage as Warriors I was losing by like over 40 points to the Celtics.

I still got some old Maddens on SEGA Genesis yet. Madden '92,'94,'95. But I still prefer TECMO Super Bowl on NES. Also a dude on ebay has updated roster cartridges as well.

Wow, coupled with the camera/POV, it is indeed super overwhelming. I would hope you can turn off the running list of what moves you're using, but doubtful there's anything you can do about the giant, neon-colored health bar in the upper left :-?

But hopefully it's also less of an issue on my 65" TV. This may be one of those things where they don't scale the same way as your active view.

You can turn on “Real FG%” where timing the shot release won’t matter if you prefer.

Never mind NBA2K23 is easy on quick play. Bucks versus Celtics. I torched them. Fed Giannis in the paint first quarter for all easy baskets. Then started firing threes with Allen and Middleton then the lead was huge. Then started getting everyone involved going to town on them.

1 silver and 8 bronze trophies for PS5. 14% for NBA2K23 in one game.

Jesus christ. Over an hour ago Diablo 4 was dragging but I figured I was close to the end so I kept going. Just want to finish the campaign. Finally get to Lilith, I'm in the second phase and almost finished, and I get kicked out. At 1:00 am. It says I'm locked out and I should try again in a couple minutes. It's absurd how we all just accept Always Online games now.

It does! But honestly, I opened the video expecting to think it wasn’t a big deal and that it wouldn’t bother me, and ended up thinking quickly it was too much. There is indeed way too much on the screen.

But like I said, hopefully it’s not as big of a deal on a big screen.

I don't need a whole lot of what's going on there. The move list, even the hit counts. For such a big, beautiful game it's going to be a shame if you can't eliminate a bunch of the HUD stuff.

Obviously don't know, but I do know that in FFXIV, which is also directed by Yoshi P (who's directing FFXVI), there is a ton of customizability in the UI, so I'd imagine it will be similar.

Maybe, but 14 is a MMO not a action game. MMO players get pissed when they can't move components around.

Finished the main Diablo campaign at level 47. Lilith is a pretty great boss battle.

Love a good Summer Games Fest in the middle of a slow work day.

New Mortal Kombat looks so good.
