Watched S1 E1 of The Foundation on Apple last night. I'm intrigued. Anyone watch this show? Looks like season 2 is dropping right now.

Spoiler:
in the finale when Jack was rescued from the Mayar prison, there were approximately 6 guards in the whole place? Then Jack and Chavez just walked out?
- “Ade” was an illogical character from start to finish. A CIA operative who counsels the director but also is a known rogue agent and walks around the building/DC freely?
- 3 guys getting in and out of the Croatian “market” so easily was tough to believe, even in a spy movie
- Mike and Jack healing so fast from significant body trauma (coming off the plane with smiles) was goofy
- the scene where the triad shot Cho Fa from a distance and didnt swarm his house (to kill his accomplices) was as improbable as the black ops team leaving Mike and Chavez at the beach

Agree. Fun show nonetheless. Knows what it is and doesn't try to win an Oscar.

But here's another doozy:

Spoiler:
Stanley Tucci's character just waltzes into the highly secretive meeting in Croatia with the mob-boss and picks up supposedly the most coveted device on the black market with not one of the 8-10? dudes intercepting/killing him.

Yep. I loved season 1 and haven’t quite gotten into season 2 the same way.

I really should have watched season 1 over because I feel like I am lost on some plot lines in S2

I think binge watching shows has **** my brain with remembering shows a year later (or I'm just getting old). I find it so hard to do these days. It's to the point where I don't even want to start some shows until the final season. But then if everyone did this they would cancel the show.

Exactly where I am at so much time passes between seasons I literally don’t remember main characters. It’s hard for me to get back into shows. Back in the day when all we had was network TV there would only be 4 months or so between seasons. Now it can be years.

I remember really enjoying season 1 of foundation but just can’t find the interest as I’m trying to get into season 2.

I tried. It strays so far from the source material it's insane. Just make a different show, guys.

I was unaware there was source material so that won't be a bother for me.

I'll give it a run, I'm cool with space shows like the Expanse and I really liked Lee Pace in Halt and Catch Fire (very underappreciated show).

I think I'm the only person here who watched the Starz show Heels, but I really liked it. I see the second season is getting high grades. Definitely worth checking out.

Halt and Catch Fire was great
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Lee Pace is one of those actors that I was like, 99% sure was British before I looked it up. Nope, dude was born in Oklahoma lol.

Foundation is definitely heavy Sci-Fi though. It's loosely based on the Asimov series of books/short stories but I don't think they've ever really stressed that it's any sort of faithful adaptation. It'd probably be more confusing and messy if they tried to keep it closer to the source material, because it reads more like a history textbook (the events take place over thousands of years and they jump around quite a bit). They clearly made a decision to constrain it into a more isolated, century-spanning timeline, and even then I find myself missing some stuff. This season definitely already feels a bit more "action-y".

Holy mother of god last week's Pride Parade episode of What We Do in the Shadows was hilarious. I haven't laughed that much in a while.

Where are the IMAX theaters in the Milwaukee area? Is Mayfair the only one? The IMAX site is glacially slow.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Wow your username suggested you are a really big fan :)

I loved the first few seasons, really clever parody of a fun genre. Also Brock Sampson is an all time great character in any television show.
