I'd bet for sure Brook is one of the "other vets" disgruntled with Griffin. We might get dpoy candidate Brook for the rest of the year now. Doc has Bud playoff vibes but he's 100x better then Grief and what other coach with a ring is available this off season?

I think the issue is if you hire doc, you have doc for 3+ years. The bucks aren't going to be paying 4 coaches simultaneously. Hope would be considering someone available after the year long shots like Taylor jenkins.

Bud is off the books after this season. They are already fine paying three coaches at once so why wouldn’t they fire Doc or whoever if they don’t win a ring this season? Haslem seems willing to spend.

Doc isn't leaving his media job to just audition the rest of the year for a job, signing Doc Rivers means signing him to a multiyear deal.

Search was done before the firing. Whoever it is will be announced soon. Can't waste time. They didn't do this firing and then start from scratch with a search.

I blame Toronto for all of this. First Greivis Vasquez, then 2019, now Griff the dunce. Hell they even took Molitor.

Not sad, just stunned. This makes the organization look so flighty.

Sure but Edens/Haslam aren't going to get tight with money all of a sudden. They are paying many millions in tax. Paying off another coach is small potatoes for those guys.

Like was said earlier, they must have a list before they pulled the trigger. Not a Doc fan tho. Wait and see I guess......

Have it from a source in the org that interviews have already took place. Only name I got was Doc. Take that however you want.

I was in the cult of Bud but he would hang up on us and be right to. I'd probably prefer Stotts to Doc but let's not pretend he's more accomplished or something.

I'm not so sure. We are paying many millions in tax. We have a 2-3 year window. They aren't all of a sudden going to start pinching pennys.

If we get knocked out second round and we start off slow, as an owner I would just do a fire sale at that point. They aren't going pay another high profile coach

Most are hoping for Atkinson but it looks like Doc is the front runner unfortunately.
