The long two is very often there for Dame when Giannis rolls hard and it looks good in the rare occasions he takes it. Would love to see him use that spot early to get his jumper going before launching the long threes.

We need less long 2s.. I would agree that his 3s should be regular length until he heats up

He doesn't really get guarded for shooting regular threes. It's logo, long two or layup between how him and Giannis are guarded. Twos from guys who can hit them well are very valuable in the playoffs.

Based on what? What measure are you deciding that ANY guy on our team should be shooting long 2s? Did you consider ever that the reason teams leave that area open is because they want us to shoot there because it's a stupid and inefficient shot? What's the best you can hope for there, 60%? out of 10 long 2s that's 12 points... so you'd only have to hit 4 of 10 threes to get that. Which has more upside? Is there a better chance Dame hits 7 of 10 twos or that he'll hit 5 or 6 of the 10 threes? Look.... either shoot the 3, draw and kick to an open 3, or drive into contact and get and 1s/fouls on them... plus you get them into foul trouble. Unless a dude is completely on fire from like the elbow and will hit 9/10 but otherwise it's just not a high upside shot. Also, when Bobby and Khris are standing in that mid post spot they are gumming up the lane so Dame can't drive... get out of the mid-range and let's start winning again.

Also, any person alive can see that Dame is so shifty and quick with the ball that he can get an open 3 from the line off ANY screen, brush screen, ghost screen or even without one. Also Dame is open on just about any inside out action, he's just too quick and his release is fast too --- noone really stops him except his own teammates being in the way because they don't know where to go or how to move.

Yeah, the whole situation was awkward because of the situation. Like no one was excited that a new coach was coaching the all-star game but you can't have AG show up and coach, you can't really decline it and force the 3rd place team (Joe M couldnt coach), NBA would've hated it if Joe Prunty and some random assistants were the face of the coaching staff, ..... I hate the phrase, but it was definitely "it is what it is" kind of situation where no one liked the situation but you move on.

1. Know your defensive rotations and execute them while staying in a defensive stance so you can challenge shots
2. Stay out of the back court and out of the middle of the floor and get open from 3
3. Make a good % of open 3s or draw and kick to the next guy if your shot is off
4. If you can't handle that then stay on the bench injured or just go home

I agree... if we were trying to match Boston this whole time, Bev was as close as an answer to them getting Jrue and Gallo is a decent counter to Unicorn.
