Moving him is literally the only way to garner interest as far as I can tell. If you can't sell wins, you have to at least sell hope. This team with Giannis back won't be able to sell either. But if you can bring back an absolutely massive haul (and that's what Giannis should get back), I think you can sell that to the public.
I'm of the opposite mind. I'll probably take a couple years off watching until the team plays basketball again because my assumption is whatever we have once he's gone will be unwatchable for a while.

If I'm proven wrong and they actually put together a fun team, I'll gladly tune in but I've already dealt with an unwatchable Wizards team for years now; I'm not excited about tearing the team down.

These types of trades make 0 sense, wherever Giannis goes the team has to compete.

Nah, if we're trading Giannis wherever Giannis goes returns us the best package. Plenty of teams would take him on and hope they can figure it out.

even last night Giannis was a wonder to watch. he had like three incredible plays. I would still tune in and watch him every time he dresses up. agree about the casuals not caring. they definitely won't care with a lesser star

The Bucks were 13-5 with Giannis but no Dame. We'll have a new coach next year. It blows my mind not to want to watch this team.

Did he just have that post-trade Mikal or Salmons bump? Yes.

Would I do it anyway and hope for the best? Yes.

Yeah, he's no sure thing, but he's only 24. Even if he doesn't prove to be a 21 ppg scorer, he'd easily be our best wing, and probably the 2nd best wing of the Giannis era.

We can make an offer to him that would put Philly well in to the 2nd apron, and they won't be very keen on that, nor has their ownership been very keen on huge luxury tax bills.

Calling the Bucks 2031 pick as an asset just shows how bad a shape the Bucks are in. And the space they have to sign someone that's significant is nil.

You're way off on both of these things. Bucks have both a pick and a pick swap available this offseason. Picks are more valuable the farther out they are. $25 million in cap room is significant.

I would not trade Giannis unless he demands a trade. We don't get better draft picks by getting worse. In the near future, Giannis plus cap space is still our best bet at a future championship.

Exactly. It’s **** Giannis. Any treadmill team should be willing to risk it all to take him on.

The Pelicans AD return is the starting point.

I'm not saying the situations are identical, but you keep the best player in the world and take advantage of the dumb teams.

Were they in as much draft and cap hell as we are?

I think as of the Kuzma trade we are the dumb team.

Some insane trade ideas on here, the I won't watch if Giannis is still around but i'd watch a JJJ and Bobby Portis led team is certainly a take.

They had ten wins when Giannis played and Dame sat.

Those wins:

Toronto
Detroit (in OT, before they got good)
Washington
Los Angeles Lakers (no LeBron or Davis)
Sacramento
Phoenix (no Durant)
Miami (OT, without Herro or Wiggins)
Pelicans (no Zion)
Minnesota
Pelicans (no Zion)

They had exactly one good win.

I think that’s a very true and overlooked statement. It’s basically been our franchise mantra for the last 7 years.

These aren’t hopeful trades and they don’t give this team any future, just more picks for FedEx doofus to **** up. You only trade Giannis when he demands it because it’s going to be a decade of horror before things shake themselves out again, it’s better to be mediocre and hope to make some Miami like runs than than the pit of despair that comes after this.

Mid picks, mid prospects, **** no

Imagine giving Horst and company more picks to miss on and thinking thats the answer when you have a top 15 guy of all time basically on the roster who loves it in Milwaukee.

Before I pull up the schedule I can already see you're missing the 2nd Detroit win that was playoff like for seeding.

I'm guessing you're aware that teams get wins against less healthy squads every day in the NBA.

What was the Bucks record against the good teams this year?

Sengun big fat no ty. Are we trying to be the Kohl era Bucks?

Shepherd I'd take

The picks are decent but Ishbia will spend whatever he can to win so there is a good chance those are not lottery picks.

Philly is the best trade partner. McCain could be a stud and we get a top 6 pick this year plus a bunch of future picks.

Philly works if they get the Flagg pick. Prefer that deal. But no Flagg, not going there.

If not, I’d hold out for Amen. Simmons/Rusillo talked about this last night. Simmons said he thought Amen was untouchable but then backtracked saying “if that’s the only way you get Giannis”

Sengun is only 22 and made the all star team. We never had that under Kohl.
