Has DJ Augustine resigned with Chicago? He played great for them last year, and is only 26.

A. I think B (Brandon) Knight can play both. I'm very comfortable with him at the point or at the 2.

He may have needed to finish that sentence. "I'm very comfortable with him at the point or at the 2 given we have such a great distributor in Giannis"

Is it too early to believe that Ersan is going to be on this team at the start of the season? I really thought he was going to be gone by now.

It's classic hammond. We go into every season with a million players at one position and it's usually the same position as our most recent first round pick

Is Mario Chalmers a FA? I'm not saying we should add him, but he seems to be a similar player to Brandon Knight. If we traded Knight in a package, might he be worth signing as a combo guard...despite the challenges he had at the end of last season?

I really think and hope that we are going to have "three primary ball handlers" on the roster. Obviously when we have the take the ball out of our own net, whoever is playing the point will bring it up. But I think Kidd is hinting that the way we will "run" our offense will be that if Giannis or Jabari gets a board that they turn, run the ball up the court and look for easy baskets in transition before settling into our offense.

I think this would be a brilliant idea as Giannis can do this and do it well, but he isn't even the one that could make a major impact doing it (unless the opposing teams 4 is guarding him). Most SFs can get back. Against a lot of teams I think Parker will be able to grab a board and beat his own man down the court. With Sanders being incredibly fast up and down for a C, this could lead to a lot of 4-on-3 or 5-on-3 type of scenarios if we look for quick, GOOD looks at the hoop.

Would rather keep Knight

If Mayo shows up in shape and is motivated, he should be a pretty attractive piece. His contract isn't that bad considering the deals that have been give out this offseason to other 2s like Jodie Meeks, Nick Young, Avery Bradley. Instead of being albatross, he actually could be an asset. I'm very much hope that Kidd lights a fire under his ass.

Has there been any buzz around Bledsoe this weekend? I'm going to assume no since the thread title hasn't been updated. I haven't been able to keep up with this thread this weekend.

I don't think there's been any buzz since the thread started, and now we're at 113 pages. Gotta love this board. :)

Perhaps Bone has never been interested in Bledsoe and just wanted to string PaulPersley (& all other f=21 objectors) along for his persecution of the FO's failure of acquiring him from LAC in the Caron deal last season.

I am definitely in favor of signing Bledsoe to add to our young core, but the total lack of activity on him has me thinking he may be another, in the long line, of over valued players via groupthink.

Eric Bledsoe: The Phoenix Suns shocked many observers by flirting with 50 wins and a playoff berth this past season but the future seems even brighter for the franchise moving forward. Entering free agency, Bledsoe was thought to be a prominent member of the team’s core but Phoenix has also been working on its own contingency plan.
The Suns landed talented point guard Isaiah Thomas in a sign-and-trade last week, which immediately led to speculation on how the deal impacted Bledsoe’s personal situation with the franchise. The club also introduced promising guard Tyler Ennis into the fold during the first round of June’s draft.
However, multiple reports maintain the Suns aren’t viewing the Ennis and Thomas additions as an indicator Bledsoe is on the outs. In fact, Phoenix has started contract discussions with Bledsoe’s camp but the guard has also generated some exploratory interest from the Milwaukee Bucks.
In general a lot of teams are hesitant to tie up cap space early in free agency on restricted free agents due to the fact their current teams an match any offer. Financial flexibility is key and it’s the reason why most guys express frustration with the restricted free agency process.

I really think we could get him on a 3 year deal and they just let him go, but my guess is that he wants to stay if the Suns would up their offer.

During the Summer League game last night the brodcast team made it seem as if Bledsoe would no longer be with Phoenix. I found it interesting that they mentioned trade talks involving Bledsoe, im not sure if they know something we dont know or if they had their information wrong.
