Dude, it's ridiculous for Jackson to damage his opportunity to play ball professionally in the League even if it's his choice. I hate seeing guys waste opportunity. And it's your right to complain about another man's career choices, despite it being ridiculous in itself.

I think its lame some players believe simply making it to the game on time is "doing their job".

That we need to pay guys who don't earn their contract? Wow, great argument.

Look, if you can't understand both sides to a debate, then you're making an uniformed/biased conclusion.

I don't even know what the other side of the debate is.

I guess it would revolve solely around "Well what if a guy gets hurt? Doesn't it suck that he doesn't get paid because he got cut due to injury reasons?". That I agree with. I think it would be good, if there were NGed contracts, if the league put in something where if a guy was cut because of injury... that player can recover some of the money that the team owes him, but it doesn't count toward that teams cap.

I think it's lame that some franchises believe simply making it to the Playoffs is 'success'. Whatever. We all have different perspectives.

No, I think everyone has that perspective, but I'm not sure what point beyond that you are making.

How is that ridiculous when the person plays for the sports team you support?

I think it all boils down to guaranteed contracts, personally. I agree that it's ridiculous to try to control how someone chooses to spend their free time. That being said, if any of us with a "normal" job came to work late and our performance suffered (whatever the reason) we would be fired. I'm sure we all know people this has happened to.

This is interesting. I'm always leery of any notion of a universal, overarching "real world" The world of an NBA player is so vastly different from that of an insurance rep which is so different from someone who trains dolphins for a living ECT. Jackson's world is it what it is, I think there are more deep rooted issues than partying as to why the general American public feels a disconnect from the NBA.

With that said, Jackson is making decisions that reflect poorly on himself in the eyes of the fan base and poorly on those we made the decision to bring him to Milwaukee. It's just a dump, goofy, depressing situation that needs a resolution.

But what do I know?

Did the Bucks or the NBA give permission for the Bucks logo to appear on this poster? Talk about legal issues, especially if something bad were to happen.

I tweeted the Bucks and the NBA about it with a link to the site.

No kidding. The NBA is such an embarrassingly unprofessional outfit.

Honestly if we'd partied the night before a game in rep basketball or football we would have been cut and we're not talking about pro sports. It's insane to think that these guys are paid this amount of money with absolutely no restriction on what they do. I guess the difference is that the guys who truly care about their performance would restrict themselves. Still hard to believe there isn't some kind of curfew the night before a game.

Is that a team by team decision (the curfew idea)? I have a buddy who worked for an organization a year or two back and I thought he said they had a curfew, but I could be mistaken.

So does anyone here actually have proof that they WERE in fact out partying last night?

Otherwise you're all going nuts over nothing.
