Parker can become Melo and better - he's shown it. But Wiggins has shown nothing comparable to Pippen. Pippen was a point forward. Wiggins averages 1.4 steals to 1.8 to's per game. He's a scorer; not a playmaker. And on the defensive side, he hasn't shown anywhere near the ability that Pippen had to create turnovers.

So yah - you can make a good comp from Parker to Melo, but no - you comparing Wiggins to da Pip is a nonstarter.

That is absolutely false - He has soon flashes of being a play maker, but is hesitant and on defense, it took pippen until his junior year to start forcing TO's

6. Randle

I don't see any way we pick lower than 6th.

I'd draft him anywhere out of the lotto.

Don't know anything about him. Haven't watched any footage. I'd have no problem drafting him with our first 2nd round pick to make Giannis happy and comfortable. And thats if he even makes it to the 2nd round. Scouts won't miss on Thanasis the way they did with Giannis. Due diligence will be done. If theres a glimmer of hope that he's even a poor man's Giannis, a team will take a chance on him in the 1st round. But I have zero issue using a 2nd rounder to make the FUTURE of our franchise feel appreciated.

Wow. That block was crazy. Very Giannis-like. Thats the first I've ever seen of Thanasis. Thanks for posting. I'm going to go watch more video.

Just for the hell of it, here are Pippen’s college steal and turnover numbers (per game in parenthesis). Freshman: 10 steals (0.5), 26 turnovers (1.3); Sophomore: 35 steals (1.8), 60 turnovers (3.15); Junior: 70 steals (2.4), 111 turnovers (3.8); Senior: 78 steals (3.2), 94 turnovers (3.8). It really was his junior year that he broke out.

I've followed him in the D-League this year (Thanasis), it's not really fair to compare him to Giannis. He is 6'7, below average rebounder, not great vision or ball handling skills like his brother, good at the basket but settles for jumpers and he's not a very good jump shooter. He attempts 9 shots a game at 40%, 4.7 of those are 3's where he shoots 28%, he's a little turnover prone.

There have been impressive dunks and blocks, and in a league with no defense he is a good defender. He did have a couple games where he got it going from outside, but obviously at 28% not consistent. I would love to have him in here to help out Giannis, but in drafting him I would understand that that's likely what he'll contribute the most, is in comfort to his brother, not on the court production.

Now that I think about it, it's probably a better idea to let someone else draft him. Don't want a Chris Smith situation to arise.

Wiggins seriously cannot dribble the ball up the court and set an offense up. If he can, his coach nor his teammates have allowed him to do it, which would be mind blowing if you have this supposed talent. I'm guessing Self doesn't have him initiating the offense because he isn't a good dribbler. Even his drives in set pieces it looks like he could get picked off at any time. Pippen was basically a PG. I don't see that whatsoever in Wiggins. I honestly see a longer Desmond Mason. Hope I'm wrong.

And there's a million other guys that showed flashes of being a playmaker that didn't become Pippen, so why is Wiggins going to be that 1 in a million that does? I had this same conversation with people about Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

See my previous post. It really doesn't matter what Pippen's stats were then - and he hardly played as a freshman - so using per game stats didn't mean much then. He was later to basketball than Wiggins.

Not sure if it's been posted before, but here are highlights from Exum's most recent competition, the 2013 ACS in Australia. If I heard right, it's Australia's best high school players. They certainly don't look like scrubs in the video.

Exum's going to draw fouls at will in the NBA. I wouldn't be opposed to drafting him anywhere. Surround Giannis and Exum with 3 point shooters and either Henson/Sanders, and you have a team with a bright future.

I see at least 5 potential first round picks in that game.

I was 4, 2, 2, 4, 4. Ugh. Are the odds really that great that we actually fall out of the top 3?

Then I played it five more times and was 2, 4, 2, 2, 4. Ten tries and my average pick was 3
